At some point our City Officials will be forced to take action. I would suggest this will occur when the elderly couple from Grand Island, Nebraska is shot/stabbed in the middle of the Plaza. Then, and only then will the proper action be taken.
This blog, while very informative, at times does a dis-service to the City by allowing, without challenge, the likes of Jermaine "Dwarf" Reed, and Alonzo Washington, to post their propaganda without direct questioning.
So called "black leaders" like Reed, Washington and Sly James are the root of the problem. Look at the Mayor. He can't control his own convict kid...the infamous "KJ da Rapper". Current whereabouts, Santa Monica, Calif. hiding from a arrest warrent. That's the Mayor's son, for god's sake people.
For years I lived off the Plaza, enjoyed my time there as some of my very best memories. It is a shame that others cannot enjoy such wonderful times withour a unspervised, lawbreaking, hood-rat ruining a Kansas City, and national, historic area.
City officials, you should all be ashamed. You cannot hide your head in the sand. The Kansas City Star...well they have lost all credibility. The "falling Star" not only hid, they left town on a jet airliner to avoid any similance of journalism. No, the stiffs of the "Editorial Committee" can run out Yael Abracadabra to mouth their retorts but it Fael's everytime. And turn off the comments to add insult to injury. The comments tells you the pulse of the community that doesn't support your paper these days. Dead Tree Media perfectly describes the KC Star. No, the Star is a relic of history, just too stupid to realize it.
Throw the book at the thugs that terrorize the Plaza. Lock them up. Let them sit in jail for a few months and jail their parents too, if they can be found. Stop jailing all the people smoking the herb and lock up the REAL criminals that dot the Plaza and Westport on weekends.
TOccurreoT NEW. Large groups of black teens have been terrorized in this way for over 30 years that I know of just a different location. The same problems occurred at Skateland in Grandview, Skateland in Riverside, Swope Park, Westport, the Plaza and several other locations over the years. The media and local governments have refused to deal with the problems for years because they refused to deal with the racial aspect.

Once amnesty is passed and the immigration flood gates bust open things will get much worst. The Mexicans and Africans will start killing each other over who gets the biggest piece of pie. The "white homeland" will be reservations like they now have for the Indians. They will also have DEBT CAMPS where people can work off their credit cards and student loans. Building office furniture for the government won't be that bad. You'll get to have visitors on the weekends.

I don't recall the details, and don't even remember if it kept the mobs away, but man it was a sweet place to go to a movie. The only young people who were in the theaters were with their parents. Why or why did they lift that restriction?
