"I believe my years as a City Code Enforcement Officer prepared me for listening to the concerns of residents, working with others to find solutions and helping to solve problems both big and small. As a retired Navy Commander, I have learned the skills and disciplines necessary to cooperate and provide leadership to achieve success. As a Christian, I have a strong commitment to working toward the greater good while leading with humility and compassion. As a resident, I am actively involved in my local neighborhood association, faith community and other volunteer activities, and in so doing am in tune with the desires and needs of 5th District residents. A nice intro, we really like the clean design of the site and look forward to more content.
However . . .
- Remember that Theresa Garza Ruiz hasn't even declared and already she has all of the union money tied up.
- She shacked up with the Mayor Pro Tem so clearly she has an inside line on the current City Council
- Her name recognition may or may not make campaigning easy.
On the other hand . . . Garza Ruiz could be vulnerable to somebody without her political baggage.
Once again . . . Candidates without a vast network of contacts or union/PAC cash need to get out EARLY and Mr. Anthony is smart to do just that.

He needs to suck up to all the endorsers and spread some oney around to the right palms.
That's why city government in KC is so effective in representing the residents.
