Sandy Sexton: Appalled about School Board Candidates who have had State of Missouri Tax Liens and other Debts
I am appalled at the Hickman Mills School Board Candidates affiliated with Freedom Inc have had State of Missouri Tax Liens placed. Are these the people that we want to represent our school district--when that can't even pay their State Income Taxes (and other debts)?
Clifford O. Ragan, III -- Certificate of Tax Lien filed March 23, 2012 for years 2005 and 2008 totaling $934.01. In addition, two judgments for Landlord/Tenant Petitions totaling over $5,000 in 2011 and 2012
Tanesha Forte -- Certificate of Assessment of Overpaid Benefits from the State of Missouri Division of Employment Security dated January 12, 2013 in the amount of $1,977.50
Breman Anderson, Jr.-- Judgment against Mr. Breman from the City of Kansas City Water Department totaling $3,315.79
Carol Graves -- Certificate of Tax Lien filed May 3, 2013 for years 2008 and 2010 totaling $3,357.15
Shawn Hayes -- Certificate of Assessment of Overpaid Benefits from the State of Missouri Division of Employment Security dated August 2,2011 in the amount of $850. In addition a Certificate of Tax Lien filed October 19, 2012 for years 2007 and 2011 totaling $1,144.10
Another interesting facts is that a current Board Member affiliated with Freedom Inc., Byron Townsend has TWO Certificate of Tax Lien filed in January 27, 2012 and March 30, 2012 for years 2006 and 2008 totally over $6,000 and a Garnishment Order was filed October 31, 2012.
Now how can voters support these candidates if they cannot even keep their own finances in order?
Attached is the supporting research.
