So, right now we're putting out this question that really won't get the right treatment anywhere else:
DID MAYOR SLY DO A GOOD JOB SHOVELING YOUR STREET?!?!
Despite all the pomp and circumstance, that's basically the most imortant job in Kansas City right now. Probably a bigger deal than that girl who stabbed her dad over the remote control.
In Midtown Kansas City we see that right now things are a mess . . .
On the bright side, we can see that things look nice on The Plaza and it's too cold for a flash mob.
More in a bit . . .
Sly wins, TKC loses, per usual.
ReplyDeleteCK = Detroit
ReplyDeleteRoads downtown are still snowbound. Sidewalks clear as a summers day.
ReplyDelete@MayorSlyJames 3h
ReplyDeleteI don't think we plow Liberty since that is not in Kansas City. Could be wrong but....
Are schools going to be closed for a week again with the great plowing efforts?
ReplyDeleteIs there anything ever positive in this blog. I swear people, I used to live in Seattle, but I hared the rain and lack of light in the winters, so I moved. The snow sucks, and I get that. Ever consider Florida, Texas, Arizona (not Atlanta)?
ReplyDeleteIf you don't something, anything, in your life to be positive about, move. Life is too short to snivel.
I have come to think that bitching and moaning on an on-going basis results in the psychological disorder where you post stupid, redundant classless posts about cum and tits and actually believe it is cleaver or funny.
Wow, the roads and streets are all cleared just hours after 12" of snowfall!! Way to go CK!!
ReplyDeleteCK!!!!!
ReplyDeleteTo: @KCMOManager @KCMO how about staggering your work schedule for city employees.. U got no innovation.. Lead the city, stop pandering
KCMOManager @KCMOManager 19h
@ChelskiJ @KCMO Why don't you quit? If you are not interested in public service we don't need you or want you in city service.
Nice city manager ya got there CK
ReplyDeleteThey could have borrowed from that $10 million loan to study the new toy trains and provided better side street service.
ReplyDeletePlazas obviously clean as a whistle.
ReplyDeleteKC snowstorm totals: 22 injury accidents, 111 stranded motorists
ReplyDeleteFebruary 5
Many motorists heeded pleas to stay indoors and off the roadways during Tuesday’s big snowstorm. But Kansas City police say they responded to 542 calls between 7:30 a.m. Tuesday and 9:40 a.m. Wednesday. These included 111 stranded motorist calls, 22 injury accident calls and 70 non-injury accident calls.
I bet the Plaza owners clean the streets themselves b/c they can't depend on the City to do it in a timely manner
ReplyDeleteHow bout the other 400 they abandon their cars and walk home?
ReplyDeleteLooked to me like they had every available plow in the city working on the Plaza yesterday.
ReplyDeleteMaybe City Hall is attending a party on the Plaza tonight and didn't want to be inconvenienced.
ReplyDeleteCK Phase Three
ReplyDeleteGet you asses out there and shovel your god damn walks.
Sexy Super Cindy Sez - - KCMO has suspended trash pickup today because some contractors couldn't make it in. That frees up 15-20 staff members to get into plows and help clear residential streets today.
ReplyDeleteWhile she sat home snarfing down fried chicken. & chick soup with soup pasta?
ReplyDeleteWhat she do order the janitor, front desk guard, and filing clerks to jump into the trucks and get it done?
ReplyDeleteI won't know for sure how well the city did until Byron tells me.
ReplyDeleteMaybe someone will start doing city rescue shows ala bar rescue and kitchen nightmares.
ReplyDeleteCK certainly needs it.
I stayed home. And I earned $3753 in one day with my Google Fiber selling socks!
ReplyDelete6:20 move the fuck back to Seattle.
ReplyDeleteWell as long as the PLAZA is safe....
ReplyDeleteAnyway, Johnson County did a fine job with what they had to work with. KCMO has a whole lotta road to cover for one city department.
Plaza is done by private contractors. They pile the snow and load it into dump trucks and I am sure the dump it in the river, but building a huge snow levy around the eastside should be an option. Downtown streets are fine. They will finish the full width when cars are moved. Great work KC.
ReplyDeleteIt's damn cold outside. It's your f'in fault Tony. Shut up and make it get warmer already. This could be easily done by ending your feeble attempt at "blogging" and just open your fat mouth. Warm air will heat things up immediately. Thanks,
ReplyDeleteWhen a city annexes property it takes on the responsiblity of providing the new areas the same services that it was providing to its residents at the time. Of course, in KCMO that means poor services.
ReplyDeleteBut the notion that somehow KC is too large an area for the city to adequately provide basic services to residents badly misses the mark.
Those expanded areas pay sales, earnings, and property taxes just like everyone else.
The money's just thrown away on things other than city services.
Northlanders whould be really unhappy at all the money being siphoned away for the streetcar, but at least they won't have to put up with a line in their neighborhoods.
Yet.
Kansas City FAIL. Hire Plaza Contractors to clear Kansas City Streets. FIRE everybody else.
ReplyDeleteYou all are a bunch of crybaby pussies! Too much snow, oh no!
ReplyDeleteThursday morning rush in KCMO and specifically midtown/downtown is going to be an epic clusterfuck. There is so much ice left over from Friday's storm covering the KCMO streets ... holy shit! Get out the iPhone cameras, kids. It'll be bumper cars galore until Noon!
ReplyDeleteThe snow plow operators in KCMO are doing a great job. I thank them all for working so hard to clear the streets. I couldn't imagine trying to plow all this snow in this large of a area. Thanks We appreciate the hard work.
ReplyDeleteWant your streets cleaned. One man can get it done. Pootie Tang. Sometimes it takes a pimp to do the hard work this city needs done. Pootie is the man. Vote Pootie for Mayor in 15.
ReplyDeletePaid for by the Pootie for Mayor Committee, Carl from Mission Hills, Treasurer.
Trash collection is contracted out to private companies. So how does the trash not being collected adding to the City's street plowing staff?
ReplyDeletePootie, whats your position on that fucking Polar Bear ?
ReplyDelete3:35 you always this drunk and stupid in the morning.
ReplyDelete620 is right. If the energy expended on piss and moaning was converted to something positive, .....ah forget it.
ReplyDeleteBRING ME THE POOTIE!!!!! -Dirty D
ReplyDeleteIts because Sly is afraid of the Mama niglets. How can they dump their raisinettes off at the Plaza theater babysitting service if the roads are fucked-up.
ReplyDeleteDa only thing da mamas need to be doin wif der raisinettes is eatin 'em or flushin 'em.
ReplyDeleteDirty D.....whap.
ReplyDeleteI shot the sheriff, Dirty D, and the fucking polar bear with one bullet.
