  1. "City Hall officials said they're now changing the way they issue permits to contractors after Heartland Midwest thought they had a permit to dig at the Plaza when in fact their fax didn't go through."

  3. I hope someone took notice of the FACT the teh MO Utilities Commission is nothing less than a babbling snow job. The investigation is a complete scam and while complaining that MGE did not follow thier own internal policies the commision will have a hard time finding sta laws or regulations that were broken by MGE becasue the commission has sat on its ass and even now fails to take action to write adequate safety regulations that applu to the utilities companies.

This commission is so inept that they write regulations requiring untrained and uncertified contractors with no background checks to inspect the interior of peoples houses and businesses, with no real inspection criteria, where no work is done or legitimate safety risk exists, but none of the work being done by contractors (where the safety risk really exists) is required to be inspected by anyone.

Has this stupidity changed since the JJ's explosion? Hell no! The redneck idiots on the commission continue to point fingers while ignoring their own failure in their responsibility to adequately monitor the utilities companies.

Your tax dollars at work folks.
