Given that the rating numbers were compiled before Teachman even left this sound more like cheerleading by cronies of KMBC than reporting.

ReplyDeleteI'm surprised KMBC is still in business to be honest.
ReplyDeleteFUTURE LOCAL NEWS CHAMPION!!!
ReplyDeletePut the following team together and they'll win:
Nick Haines: National news anchor and main desk
Dave Helling: All things political, with emphasis on regional/local news affecting taxpayers/voters.
You actually give investigative reporters like Kath/Haake/Cameron full segments to shine a light on local corruption and wrong-doing.
For sports we go to the internet.
For weather, you put the 5-day forecast on the screen for 15 seconds.
We don't want our local news station to waste our time on Bieber/Cyrus/HollywoodScandal/TopGrossingMovieOfTheWeek/TrafficAccidents (We're sitting at home!!!) /HouseFireInFlorida (who cares! I'm in KC!)
If you eliminate all the useless entertainment, sports, and weather/traffic, you could actually educate and inform the public in 30 minutes of news.
As I have said for two years. Christa Dubill is a cow. The ratings prove me right. Last in all news time slots. Dubill needs to be put to rest at the Golden Corral Buffet.
