LR is not about transportation. It is all about generating tens of millions to professional engineering firms, law firms and campaign donations to candidates for city council. That is who has been backing this for over twenty years. The public voted against Light rail many times, but the money guys keep bringing it back. Who cares about the poor working joe needing more flexible and less costly bus routes?
