Deciding Betwixt Seven Unlucky Plans for Unaccredited Kansas City Public Schools

NBC Action News and a lesson in even more bad plans: "Proponents of the seven different plans for possible state intervention into unaccredited districts are settling in for a final few days of lobbying for their preferred vision for the future of the troubled district here."

  1. WAY past time to stop moving he deck chairs around on the Titanic.
Have the state install some professional adult supervision to oversee overall management of the district.
Let the superintendant run the academics for the schools.
Give the teachers an opportunity to teach.
Have the parents focus on emphasizing the importance of education, personal behavior, discipline, and hard work to their kids.
And send all the grifters, consultants, contractors, community activists, do-gooders, and other hangers-on home.
At last, a school district that might actually have a shot at giving some young people a decent future!

    1. I think this is the first reasonable suggestion I've ever heard on this blog.

  2. Nothing will ever happen with this. Black people don't care about education. You can have the best teachers and administration on Earth but if you have some dropout parent(s) at home who don't value education then their kids will be the same way. Drop-out, have kids at 15, don't take care of said kids, commit crimes, bring nothing but misery to your surroundings, go to prison, die young. Repeat cycle in the hood. In 500 years the very same things will be said about the black race. They are incapable of making things better in every aspect of their lives and they bring down everything around them in the process.

  3. Yeah yeah yeah, black is bad, blah blah blah. Never mind that Lincoln College Preparatory Academy, a KCPS school that is predominantly black is nationally ranked and generally outperforms ALL metro area high schools and most if not all public schools in the state and has produced more PHD candidates than any other urban district in the 4 state area. Go watch your kiddie porn or have sex with your dog and burn some crosses and then have sex with your sister or whatever you backwoods, backwards racist animals do. This blog has given you your platform, yay.. while the rest of us go about living in the real world (cue guy who post videos of the knock out game, and says "this is the real world")

  4. Lincoln Prep DOES do a great job.
But what about the other 16,970 kids in the district and the thousands on the streets who are unemployable because of the lousy "educations" they've gotten in the past.
At least West and the others got the contractors and unqualified family members and friends out of the operation.
    That's a start!

  5. Lincoln does a good job of educating kids, but no better than any of the surrounding districts.
