ReplyDeleteDamn this mayor. KCMO has an excess of salt yet he refuses to treat our streets. He complains we have 200 plows and they can only do so much. The KCMO government is now **selling** the excess salt to other cities and entities instead of treating OUR OWN FUCKING STREETS! He is actually raiding the snow removal budget and using those funds for other areas. I wish to Christ the election was held tomorrow. Goodbye, Mr. Bowtie. Buh-bye!
ReplyDeleteEVERY spare dollar that can be found anywhere in the city budget is being siphoned into the streetcar project as the planning costs escalate and the cost overruns start to appear.

You know, 5:20, the snow thing really is fucked up. And the attitude of this mayor and his administration are totally out of line. Sly went to law school in Minnesota. He knows what good snow removal looks like. As I've said before, politicians that can fuck up a two car parade don't deserve to think about streetcars.

For the love of Jesus, the Mayor *admits* his administation would not and will not treat KCMO streets with salt. He *admits* there is still budget left to do it. He *admits* there is excess salt to treat the ice-covered streets. He *admits* the city is SELLING THE SALT to other cities and using that budgeted money for other areas.

They don't plow shit in Minnesota. I lived in Minneapolis for 13 years. Arterials only. People just know how to drive.
