Here's the conclusion against claims of white discrimination @ The Kansas City Police Department:
Newspaper: A Jackson County jury ruled Wednesday against a former Kansas City homicide detective who had argued that he was demoted to patrol officer because of racial discrimination.
From the so-called "Gang of 8" to revelations about the political side of top level police work . . . This case was exceptionally interesting and provocative. We chronicled most of it early on and from an open-minded perspective, hopefully.

I'd like to think not but I'm optimistic . . . It should be noted that KCPD is the most diverse police force in the metro and also the very best. Engage in just a bit of real talk with just about any resident in town and FEW IF ANY will talk trash on KCPD but instead lash out on politicos who fail to support the organization vital to Kansas City's survival.

ReplyDeleteThis doesn't change a thing. Every white officer on the department knows Hundley is a racist piece of crap. There are even quite a few black officers who do not buy into the gang of 8 tactics.
ReplyDeleteI must admit to my ignorance of racism when I came to KCPD back in the 90's. I never hated people for the color of their skin and did not know of those who hated me for the color of by pale skin. I was quickly provided with an education as I have never been so hated for being white as I have since coming here. Even more disturbing was the hate offered to me by black commanders and officers alike for no other reason than being white. But I guess it is okay to be racist as long as it is against white people. So so sad......
