In fairness, we really need to be spending this money on the toy train streetcar . . .

Next question?
In fairness, The Star talks to people and gathers facts and you make stuff up.
ReplyDeleteAs long as we're all being fair here.
At least they are funding the pensions.
ReplyDeleteWho did the Star talk to before wetting their pants in excitement about a new terminal at KCI?
ReplyDeleteNot the airlines!
I love that The Star points out how much money we're "wasting" on things like Bicycling and Public Art, but it's literally PENNIES compared to the 1/2 Billion dollars that the streetcar will cost, and The Star no doubt ENDORSES. No mention of any of that anywhere in the article.
ReplyDeleteKC taxpayers need to say no to all new taxes and limit and extra spending. I finally agree with austerity measures. Cause there to be so little money that they have to spend on the most basic of services. Then possibly they will think twice about wasting the voter's money. Oh wait - this crowd will be gone soon and another cast will come along.
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, 1:12pm, most of the candidates coming up will be the same old names and many of the same old faces who have have their snouts in one public trough or another for many years.
ReplyDeleteThey all know the ropes and how to turn public cash into thin air for their friends and grandiose dreams.
City hall won't miss a beat!
How about ending the non-contractual $1M to the stadiums?
ReplyDeleteI heard Sly in committee on this subject. He sounded like the pissed off asshole that he is.
ReplyDeleteOh yea; for all his smiling and elbow rubbing at social gatherings and camera interviews, the guy is a total ass hat in meetings.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to argue against the qualities of a strong leader, but there's literally no discussion going on when he's in the room. Everyone speaks and then Sly just says how its going to be.
