"You all that are negative about aim4peace have no morals. The group has helped so much in our community as a 17 year old teen I can stand up in front of the world and say that. Do you know what it feels like to lose a new friend every month sometimes every week? I wouldn't suppose you do...... I say that because you are knocking a group that help keep teens, and gangs off the streets."
As Kansas City attempts to cope with increasing violence, it's important to acknowledge EVERY perspective regarding the group including those from people who they have helped directly.

I bet the "kid" who wrote this looks suspiciously like Alvin Brooks or another East side grifter that steals money from programs like this. But for now I'll play along. What was the murder rate before this scam? It was about the same I bet. If throwing money at a problem solved everything then the KCSD would be the best in the country. This is a bad parent problem raising bad kids problem and giving it money won't fix anything.

ReplyDeleteThere's nothing like counting on the Health Department to run an efffective public safety program. This has been a Wayne Cauthen scam from the beginning, tries to take credit for making the sun come up in the morning, has shown a wonderful ability to make many thousands of dollars disappear without a trace, does a great job with shallow PR, of which this post is a great example, has had ZERO impact on the number of homicides or the clearance rate, and constantly is looking for even more funding, even though they just got over $1 million over three years from the Feds.
