Just a quick update on our local priorities or lack thereof and the consequences of local streets . . .

THANKS TO A GREAT MANY KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS SENDING US INFO ON KANSAS CITY BUSTED PIPES THAT ARE FREEZING AND CREATING SLICK STREETS!!!

I won't list the minor ones but we do have confirmation that Cleaver II Blvd East Of Paseo is pretty much frozen over . . . RESULTING IN AT LEAST TWO CAR WRECKS ALREADY!!!

Meanwhile, we're hoping that a HALF BILLION WATER BOND SALE for Kansas City might help since nothing else seems to be working.

  1. No shit! Here you have to hire an electrician, a bureaucrat, a plumber and have a building permit to make sure your new water heater installation meets code. In the mean time the experts at the water department preside over the most horse shit public water system in the Midwest. Maybe the bureaucrats ought to stop writing rules for home owners and get their shit together.

  2. Yes, the dysfunctional water services department is a wonderful example of the high leel of competence, oversight, and accountability provided by an operation that is under local control. You can also add public works, code enforcement, business licensing, and all the rest.
All completely ignored and neglected by elected officials who imagine themselves developers, visionary urban futurists, planners.
When in fact they're political hacks, lapdogs, and empty suits, pandering to every interest group and con man who show up on the 22nd floor.
Somebody better check the sandtimer on the money machine.
