RECOVERING FROM THE KANSAS CITY TRIPLE SHOOTING WEEKEND!!!

Once again it's important to look at the reality of this weekend in order to judge the progress of anti-crime efforts subsidized by Kansas City . . . Aim4Peace only seems to be working if they're discouraging marksmanship lessons in this cowtown.

Here's a round-up of the weekend damage . . .

Fox4: Police seek multiple suspects after three shootings over the weekend

One dead and multiple injuries over the weekend keep adding to our quotient of violence as our already escalating Kansas City murder count seems to be getting worse and we hope that the start of the work week and arctic temperatures will cool everybody out for at least a little while.

More in a bit . . .

  1. I'm sure there are dozens of witnesses but nobody saw nuthin'. The murder at Retro a year or two ago is unsolved isn't it?

  2. The percentage of murders that are solved in KCMO is around 50% year after year, so each year at least 50 thugs literally get away with murder.
And the NoVa plan is to confront them with the consequences of not giving up the streets and taking an $8/hour job instead?
    There aren't any consequences.

    1. Actually.the nova plan has both stick and carrot. You've described carrot. The stick is near constant police attention, interrupting your life, being under the thumb of police, and getting to the point where nobody wants to be with you, or you get caught with a gun on you and go to federal prison.

  3. Niggers need to cease to exist. Very simple, with no other option.

  4. Yes I agree the niggers have to go.

  5. 7:26 many agree that your latter point is what's needed in KC. Cops have to be more aggressive. Racial profile....well when 100 of 106 murders are black, profile on. Let Alonzo or Jermaine or Sly Apes kids get killed and I bet the cops get a green light to tighten the "noose" so to speak. Cops have to step up their game and stop busting the "cheeba freaks".

  6. I bet it gonna be one bang up spring and summer. Da cole weather be keepin 'em cooped up. When da temps rise, dey gone be out in full force to relieve dey frustrations.

  7. Here's an idea1/27/14, 11:07 AM

Take all these empty schools and make prisons out of them? Very high steel walls around it with gun towers two guards to a tower with orders to shoot and kill if any attempt at escape is made. If they riot same thing shoot to kill. If they riot and try to burn it down won't matter guards done killed them all before building falls in so no need to move them anywhere else. Nobody allowed inside the walls unless convicted. Be like the jail in Escape from New York just smaller versions.

  8. Oh forgot we would feed them, have a place where food is shoved inside the joint and they can fight over who gets what.

The obseration that the thugs are under "constant police attention" is interesting, but as anyone with a passing understanding of the levels of police staffing and actual operations on the ground would tell you, the KCPD are badly understaffed and spend most of their patrol time racing from one call to the next, particularly at night and in high-crime parts of the city.
KCMO doesn't lack for ideas, whether it's community policing, hot spots, Aim4Peace, NoVa, or all the rest.
But implementing those programs and holding people accountable for results in a completely different matter.
And when he has a chance to reinforce supporting the police and encouraging residents to work with the cops, what does the mayor talk about?
Gun control laws in Jeff City.

  10. 11:45, you've described patrol. Not all the other specialized departments. Patrol, best as I can tell, is essentially the chief complaint department of the city. Manpower isn't the issue. KCPD has manpower. It's allocation. There are more officers per capita in KC proper than many other cities. You need to account for the fact that it's 320 square miles, yes. But it would behoove the police to consider contracting with jackson, clay, and platte county sherriff to cover the thin areas and let patrol focus on the higher demand areas.

    ReplyDelete
  11. And of the 320 square miles, 75+% of the crime and homicides take place within a 50 square block area.
Does it make more sense to have a greater police presence there?
    Yes.
Is it common sense for the council public safety committee and the police board to work together?
    Yes.
Does it make sense for members of the council to have enough of an understanding of public safety operations to understand how the money they allocate to the KCPD is spent?
    Yes.
    All management/government 101.
    So why doesn't that happen?
11:45am is right. There are lots of good ideas about addressing crime, running water services departments, and all the other services that the residents of any city depend on.
But in KCMO there's just no command attention, direction, priority, or management given to the things that really count.
None of these operations or programs run THEMSELVES anywhere. Why don't the folks who "govern" KCMO have time to actually get results?

  12. AIM4Piece???

Shooter: "I was aiming for his head and neck."

    ReplyDelete
  13. 2:07 It doesn't happen in those areas you describe for one reason: It's all black and they will scream "racism" for such a heavy police presence despite the fact they've earned it. That police tactic will never work here. The residents of the hood know they just have to say "racism" and the cops will go away.
