MUST READ!!! REP. CLEAVER IN SUPPORT OF PREZ OBAMA TELLS CONGRESS: STOP DIGGING AND START BUILDING!!!

More than anybody else, Kansas City's Congressman puts last night's words from President Obama in perspective . . .

Congressman Cleaver's comments following the President's State of the Union Speech:

"I applaud the President's message of opportunity, optimism, and action," said U.S. Congressman Emanuel Cleaver, II (D-MO). "This country was founded on the notion that if you work hard and play by the rules, you should have the opportunity to succeed. It's past time to make that happen. It is absurd for Members of Congress to dig into political positions and refuse to work in a bipartisan manner. It's time to stop digging - and start building."

  2. Message to Manny Cleaver, before you say anything to anybody.....pay you bills. Stop being a leach on the taxpayers. Rather than babble and make speaches, lead your people out of the jungle of crime, murder, jackings, knock out game, etc, etc.

  3. Another piece of shit in Congress. In November they are all up for election. They can all be voted out, regardless of party. Because of gerrymandering it will be tough to get them out but it can be done. I for one am looking forward to it.

  13. If Obama were serious about helping the so called working class he would make it easier to start a small business. Instead the bureaucrats keep adding regulations and taxes until no one can start a small business with limited capital.

Not all poor people are lazy but when they do try to start a cab company KC shuts them down. When they try to hire out as a carpenter they need occupational licenses in every city they work in, the permit people harass them and if that is not enough the IRS is always there.

But this suits the pols because in their world there is no such thing as competition. There are businesses which are mostly an extension of government, regulated as to what they charge and how much they pay employees.

You forgot one thing 7:57. They want all your money as well. Our government isn't for the small business owners any more than they are for the people who work for them. If my company is about to fail will Uncle Sam bail me out? Nope it’s not going to happen. In the whole scheme of things I as well as all the readers here in TKC don't matter. We are viewed as the worker bees that are expected to keep sending in those tax dollars and spending all we have to keep the sales tax dollars flowing in.

The time has come to start not reelecting into office those who do nothing. I as of now know not one person who should return to their current office in any upcoming elections. People get registered and let’s get out there and vote with some common sense. Remove all the fools from office. We might put another one in but we will run them out the next election. I say within 8 years or less we will as the voters and the people, have sent a very powerful message that says we have had it with the so called political parties. Don't vote for the popular person or by skin color, vote by what the person running for office has done in the past. If they are a dead beat do nothing, then don't vote them into office.

  15. The House of Representatives has 435 members and the Senate has 100 members. These 535 elected people represent 100% of the American people. If there is a divide in Congress, this means there is a divide with the American people. Political parties disagree and they should not "force" their agenda on the say 50% of the American people who do not want their agenda. Why not compromise and find something that is agreeable with a higher percent of Americans? It angers me that one side labels the other as "domestic terrorist" because they want to protect 50% of Americans.

  17. again we get all of our news from the Huffington Post, New York Times, CNN, MSNBC, there is not one bit of difference in the agenda of these liberal shills. they just keep feeding s*** to the Sheep and we just keep eating it.

  19. cml, you need to try a station other than 980. I think it made you retarded. Children see the world as black and white. As an adult, I would hope that you can understand that reality isn't so easy. Yes, the political parties want the world cleanly divided into two black and whites, but those of us with common sense see that it's not like that. Then, the drones who act on primal impulses of grunting, shitting, and splashing in mud, comes alone and plays right into the two party system.

God gave you a brain. Use it. Don't believe everything you read. And don't think that it's "libtards" and "GOP fat cats" as the only two things in the world.

  31. 'Fast food workers hopeful they'll see minimum wage raised soon'

There is a tech company out in San Fran making fast food machines that will replace these people. They can churn out a couple hundred perfect gourmet burgers an hour.

    ReplyDelete
  32. Our alpha machine frees up all of the hamburger line cooks in a restaurant. It does everything employees can do except better:
It slices toppings like tomatoes and pickles immediately before it places the slice onto your burger, giving you the freshest burger possible.
Our next revision will offer custom meat grinds for every single customer. Want a patty with 1/3 pork and 2/3 bison ground to order? No problem.
Also, our next revision will use gourmet cooking techniques never before used in a fast food restaurant, giving the patty the perfect char but keeping in all the juices.
It’s more consistent, more sanitary, and can produce ~360 hamburgers per hour.
The labor savings allow a restaurant to spend approximately twice as much on high quality ingredients and the gourmet cooking techniques make the ingredients taste that much better.

  33. Whats the capitalist going to do. Hire and have to deal with a bunch of lazy, unmotivated, whining employees who think the world owes them a living, or buy a machine thats does the work for pennies on the dollar, never complains, and doesn't require health insurance and beneifts and pensions?

  35. 943. the world does, in fact, owe people a living

especially if machines can do all the work, why would people want to work at a fast food place. one of the most compelling portrayals of why there shouldnt be fast food jobs to begin with is
    Doublemeat Palace from Buffy

The day when the labourer may till the ground without paying away half of what he produces, the day when the machines necessary to prepare the soil for rich harvests are at the free disposal of the cultivators, the day when the worker in the factory produces for the community and not the monopolist--that day will see the workers clothed and fed, and there will be no more Rothschilds or other exploiters.

calling me a retard in no way changes the facts. The liberal media dominates the information that most Americans get. It is interesting that you used 980. One AM radio station and Fox news is pretty much it.

calling people names, self righteous sanctimonious b******* from the left, the usual liberal cant is all you have.

again, the liberal media dominates and slants most American s get

    Even a retard gets that.
