LIKE IT OR NOT: KANSAS CITY LATINO LOW PROFILE SCREWS GOP CONVENTION BID!!!

Kansas City mainstream media is gushing about a Kansas City 3rd place mention in the contest for the GOP 2016 Convention . . .

Check the WaPo article all of the mainstream media newsies are reblogging: Does it matter where the GOP decides to hold its 2016 convention?

The only benefit is the middle-America flyover country locations.

- GOP party people want KCMO to build a hotel and that's not gonna happen . . .

- We're in Red State Country so it's pretty much like preaching to the choir . . .

But this is more interesting than everything else and since the Kansas City mainstream media editorial crew are all-white, they didn't want to mention it:

"For a party that needs to win over Hispanic voters, having the convention in states with low Latino populations might not be the best choice."

Now, the WaPo opinion piece is mistaken because Kansas City actually has a pretty great Latino population that not only skews conservative bu8t also represents a great cross-section Latinos from across the nation from working class to elite and all points in between.

However . . .

BECAUSE BACKWARD KANSAS CITY POLITICS DOESN'T REALLY PROMOTE DIVERSITY AND ONLY FUNCTIONS ON IMMEDIATE PAY-PER-PLAY DEALS . . . LATINOS ARE OFTEN DISREGARDED IN OUR LOCAL CULTURAL SCENE!!!

For instance, despite burgeoning population numbers . . . There hasn't been Latino on the City Council in more than two decades.

This old school mentality . . . AMONG DEMOCRATS MOSTLY isn't just behind the times but also represents another aspect of Kansas City's provincial thinking that always makes this town a 3rd place contender at best.

More in a bit . . .

Is that "skews conservative" or "skewers conservatives"?

Hillbilly's were cannibals before they were radical conservative Republican so, skewer is the correct term.

Mexicans will always vote democrat. Its were all the free They can overlook their supposed "strong religious beliefs" ignore abortion as long as there is a little something in the form of freebies. In other words, fuck the Hispanic vote its in the bag with the other permanent lower class ......blacks . Keep em poor and in your pocket.

If that's true than the Republicans will never be on the white house again.

You mean we have a lack of beaners?

And we don't want their convention here unless they are willing to pay for the additional city services required.

OMG I LOVE this photo TKC. Wish I could make it my fb profile pic. But then people would know I read this blog and I'd be shamed by my peers. You should host a TKC readers coming out party so we can finally all stop pretending that no one reads this blog when we know everyone does.

I'd rather live in an area with a low Hispanic population than host a political convention.

10:41 I read it and don't care who knows I read it. I think every city needs something like TKC. Face it only the thinned skinned people will cry and gash their teeth over it or the ones who think they are somebody and in all truth are not. Some of you might find this shocking but I hear comments like you see on here more often than one might think. Hit a few happy hours down on the Plaza or local neighborhood bars where folks get in to lots of conversations in groups. You hear the n word more now than you did say twenty years ago. Women are more vocal about politics in public and let me tell you a lady who doesn't like you with a couple of drinks in her can out trash talk most men. Very crude sex comments in mixed company is about all you don't hear. Super Cindy (well in her mind)is very seldom discussed in that way.

No really it's people who like to run around acting they are prim and proper 100% of the time are who look down their nose at those who read TKC. But they will also tell you they never fart either, so take their opinions with a grain of salt.

In terms of Hispanic numbers KC is way down on the list. In terms of population period - KC is way down on the list. In terms of amenities KC is way way down on the list. In terms of national political influence KC is at the bottom of the list. When you have cities in Florida with incredible increases in Hispanic population or cities like Atlanta, Charlotte and so on KC hasn't got a snowballs chance. Its a safe bet that New Mexico, Arizona, California. Texas and Lousiana, Mississipi and Alabama are out. The republicans need to win over youth, Hispanics and Blacks. They have made inroads in the African - American community thanks to the Democrats sucking up to Sharpton and the Jackson bunch. If I had to bet today I'd be looking at Florida or Atlanta.

Anyone thinking CK is getting the Repuke convention is stupider than Byron, the WV child molesting, wife beating, dipshit that frequents TonysCK. No, Republicans need the Spic vote, but there are only 4,000 beaners in the KC area. I would bet Atlanta, Charlotte or Des Moines. Hell Des Moines has more beans than CK. Wonder if Des Moines has a Toy Train in the works?
