KANSAS CITY 1-INCH BLIZZARD SURVIVAL!!! ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH KANSAS CITY 2014 INCREASED SNOW REMOVAL EFFORT?!?!

It snowed maybe an inch and a half in Kansas City Proper and it drove the weather newsies INSANE.

Even better . . .

WORD ON THE STREET IS THAT THE KANSAS CITY 1-INCH BLIZZARD INSPIRED CITY HALL TO STEP UP THEIR SNOW REMOVAL GAME!!!

Like it or not, we're hearing good things . . .

Even from the Northland:

"I just got a call from my wife who tells me that our Northland cul-de-sac that did not see a plow for 4 days with the last snow has already seen one this morning. Thanks, KCMO."

Your milage may vary . . .

TELL TKC . . . ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH KANSAS CITY SNOW REMOVAL IN THE AFTERMATH OF A 1-INCH BLIZZARD!!!

Either way, we're grateful for renewed efforts and I even noticed a few plows on my beloved Westside. This is encouraging given that BITTER COLD AND MORE SNOW IS ON THE WAY if weather newsies are to be believed.

Developing . . .

  1. News for doing their job? Only in CK.

  2. Saw a snowplow on my northland street at about 9:00am this morning. I've never seen that before in my 10 years here.

  3. Surely, SURELY the Northland snow-removal work had absolutely NOTHING to do with the TKC post last week.

Last week Northlanders were unobservant stupid liars and the new year obviously removed the scales from their eyes.

  4. We got about 3-4 in the Great White North. I'm told a plow has already been by but that would be a record.

  5. I actually woulda said no to all the plowing this time. Snow pack seemed easier than the mess that was on the 435 ramps & Wornall Rd this morning. I don't have a city council person in my neighborhood so...

  6. Haven't seen a plow yet. Don't expect to see one.

  7. "Northland culdesac" = entitled unsustainable subsidized black hole for taxpayers to throw their money into

  8. Streets around Sunnyside park absolutely suck. Then again, basic services in Kansas City have sucked since Troy became city manager.

  10. "I actually woulda said no to all the plowing this time."

Exactly, 1:51. This was about an inch of very dry, fluffy snow because of the low temperatures.

I am sure that cities to the north who have to deal with real snow wouldn't have bothered to plow an inch.

  11. "Streets around Sunnyside park absolutely suck."

Oh, you poor boy! One inch of snow leaves you absolutely paralyzed!

  12. I'm a woman you male chauvinist pig.

    ReplyDelete
  13. Hey, what's chauvinist about thinking only a Waldo "man" could whine like that?

But lady? If one inch of snow bothers you all that much, by all means stay home.

    ReplyDelete
  14. "Northland cul de sac = KC taxpayer, ass wipe.

Agree with 1:51, although we did get the cursory one swipe here. JOCO streets, as usual, were great.

  15. If we can't expect the absolute basics from the KCMO government, then we have a right to bitch all we want. BTW, my street is still a sheet of ice as of 2p based on the KCMO Snow Removal website. It took four days for the city to attempt a salt run last ice-snow storm. Horrible city services.

  16. 3:47 = Assistant City Manager Pat Klein. Pat makes $160,000 per year to respond here on TKC.

  17. Is he the guy who lives at 59th & Michigan and always gets his streets cleared?

    ReplyDelete
  18. Crybaby pussies! Oh no, there is a 1/2 inch of snow on the streets. What do I do?! Cry on a worthless blog, that will fix it.

    ReplyDelete
  19. I wet myself at the sight of snow. I want to go to Miami!

    ReplyDelete
  20. 4:45, you are really boring and tiresome. Why don't you get back to work? Or are you bitter about being RIFfed??

    ReplyDelete
  21. All you have to do is go to 103rd and State Line. Look to the West. The streets are cleared. Look to the East. The streets are snow packed.
I didnt get to see it this morning, but I dont know why this time would be any different. It has been this way for about 20 years.

  22. I drive 103rd Street every day. It was sanded, salted and cleared in both directions yesterday morning, right after the "one inch blizzard" in plenty of time for the rush hour. On both sides of the state line.

Look, if you want to whine because one inch of snow makes you too scared to drive, go ahead.

    But don't lie.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I love it when the pussies who demanded speed bumps on their city streets whine because their streets don't get plowed right away.

    ReplyDelete
  24. Don't know about 103rd & State Line, but 79th & State Line was as usual.
