Fox4 reports on a bit of suburban eco-devo news: "Another huge soccer complex is in the planning stages for the metro area. Developers want to create a $230 million sports complex and entertainment village on the northeast corner of Interstate 470 and View High Drive. City leaders want it to become a marquis gateway for the western edge of Lee’s Summit, Mo."

Don't we already have soccer in Overland Park?
ReplyDeleteNo shit! And the KCMO soccer complex too. How many of these soccer mega-complexes can the metro support? Who even plays soccer in the U.S.?
ReplyDeleteThe whole area is riddled with caves and mines that are constantly collapsing and falling in.
ReplyDeleteJust another dreamer looking for the taxpayers to pony up for his grandiose scheme.
Maybe he should call the KCMO mayor pro-tem!
Extending the Roman Empire metaphor, we need our bread and circuses.
ReplyDeleteMaybe we could drop Byron in one of those sink holes and fill it in....brilliant.
ReplyDeleteMore than likely a barrier that the city hope black folks won't jump.
