Another Kansas City Biz Accepting Bitcoin
Kansas City residents and entrepreneurs are quickly moving away from traditional currency and onto more Internets friendly alternative models of exchange.
Here's the latest example from a presser sent our way:
The Modern Maids, a new maid service in the Kansas City area, announced today that they are now accepting Bitcoin as payment for their maid services.
This is just one of many local businesses that's making the new currency move . . .
"Micah Horner, the owner of The Modern Maids, said, “Kansas City is a tech-savvy city on the forefront of innovation. While simple, flat-rate pricing and fast, online booking are rarities in many local service industries, we believe we can apply a high-tech approach, and combine it with top-quality service to radically transform the way most people think about maid services.
"Part of our commitment to proving the most convenient experience to our customers is accepting Bitcoin as a form of payment. Personally, I am a long-time Bitcoin user and advocate, and believe that accepting Bitcoin makes getting your home cleaned even easier, and shows support for the Kansas City Bitcoin community. You simply tells us you want to pay in Bitcoin, specify the time of the cleaning and which service you’d like, and scan the QR code. That’s it!"
Again, this mode of payment is cropping up throughout the local Internets which leads us to ask:
IS BITCOIN BECOMING KANSAS CITY'S NEW CURRENCY?!?!
Given that most of this town's cash is tied up in toy train schemes and paying for the P&L District party . . . It's hard to blame folks for wanting to try something new.
