WELCOME TO THE WESTSIDE RAINBOW BUNNY!!! GOOGLE FIBER STARTS ON KANSAS CITY'S WESTSIDE IN DECEMBER!!!

Second and third generation Latinos get a bit faster along with hipsters, amateur urban planners and so many despicable and mostly unlucky real estate speculators . . .

Here's a bit of copy sent our way from my lovely Latina lady who thinks that Google Fiber will help her knitting . . . Who knows . . .

"We are currently in the final phase of construction in the West Side North fiberhood, and we plan to begin in-home installations in the middle of December. At this time, you may see our installation vans in the area, and it will take a few months to make our way through your entire fiberhood."

This word kind of explains why so many Time Warner trucks have been in the area and why they've dedicated that past few weeks to door knocking and other customer service outreach efforts.

And so even more digital competition kicks off in Kansas City . . .

  1. Already seen them doing installs along Mission road north of 47th in that general area.

  2. Lotsa luck, Time Warner. Your day has come and gone.

Soon as Google fiber hooks me up, my account with you is toast. I can get for free what I'm paying you every month for. What about teevee? I don't buy teevee from you. Amazon Prime lets me watch high-quality programming when I want, with no commercials, with pauses when I go to get a brewsky. Who needs your 500 channels of blather and mind rot? Amazon Prime (which also gets me free shipping for most of my shopping) has an annual cost of what you charge me for two months.

  3. It's hilarious Google needs to sell TV to get this whole thing barely off the ground.

The only thing getting off the ground is the fiber being hung from telephone poles.

    LOL
