Tweets Cussing Out Phill Kline Violated Rules Of Lawyer Conduct Says Kansas Panel

AP by way of KAKE reminds us that professionals always have to watch what they say: "A disciplinary panel says a former Kansas courts research attorney violated the rules of lawyer conduct when she used foul language in tweets about former Attorney General Phill Kline."

  1. This is now what, a dozen or so people disbarred on both sides because of the Tiller the Killer prosecution?

  2. Probably less a result of the particular language than discussing court business at all. I'm not a fan of Phill but you can't blame this on him.

  3. If I were representing her I wouldn't have tried to minimize what occurred. I would have apologized and begged for mercy.

  4. Anything that gets a bunch of lawyers unemployed can't be all bad, but even so ... if you can't denounce some clown for being a woman-hating neo-fascist douche bag, there's something wrong with Amerika.

  5. The Disciplinary Board is a joke. The link was bad, so I didn't see the story, but I'm betting she won't be punished that badly since the assault on Kline was little more than a jihad coming down from Carol Beiers anyway. The Supremes are in the tank for the abortion industry and unless they're throwing this woman under the bus in an attempt to make their witchhunt look fair she'll be just fine and back in business in no time.

  6. If duck dynasty said it, the world would be in an uproar that his rights were trampled. Where's the "free speech" petitions on this?

  8. In the end though Kline was right. He was breaking the law by keeping improper records, most likely to cover up post 26 week abortions and abortions provided under a 'mental health exemption' that had no mental health reason.

Tiller the Killer's doctor that did the charts got kicked out of medicine too.

  9. No Kline wasn't right. He sought the records of ALL women who had abortions at Tiller's clinic in gross violation of their privacy rights and the law, and used the excuse that he was seeking evidence of child rape and evidence of illegal abortions.

That's like asking a hospital for their records of ALL their patients in order to find evidence of child abuse.

And that's why he was defeated for re-election twice in landslides, both as Kansas attorney general and Johnson County district attorney, and why he lost his law license.
