The MAX will get slowed down by the streetcar and have to go around it, but they'll probably end up cutting the Main Street MAX once the transit budget battle plays out.
ReplyDeleteThe transit budget battle has already been lost with all the money that's already been siphoned off and will be needed for just the starter line of the streetcar. And it's only going to get much worse.

ReplyDeleteBRT is awesome cheap ad effective. Too bad the 1980s style suburban traffic engineers and hillbilly citizens of kc won't ever let it happen. BRT mean dedicated lanes, signal priority and off board ticketing. But the "where will I park" crowd would lose their mind if kc have up a couple lanes on even tjs most overbuilt freeway style roads. Trains are the only way to make hillbillies understand that transit is just a normal amenity that evey successful city provides now. It's like when oral sex became a normal part of evey relationship. Girls didn't like it, but if that's what the competition offers, you got get with the times I get left behind
