TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! SHOCK!!! KANSAS CITY PUBLIC SCHOOL DISTRICT MIGHT SOON SHUT DOWN TROUBLED SOUTHWEST HIGH SCHOOL!!!

Let's take a quick REAL WORLD look at how Kansas City Public Schools handle school transfers. . .

To wit . . .

ONCE AGAIN THE MOST KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS TELL US THAT SOUTHWEST IS FACING SHUTDOWN IN THE AFTERMATH OF STUDENT POP. CHANGE UPS THAT WORKED OUT HORRIBLY!!!

Before we get started . . . Here's the word . . .

"I hear rumblings that Southwest High School is going to be closed again. This is coming from staff (who haven't been formerly told) and in-the-know neighbors."

Thanks to this AWESOME TIPSTERS for the IMPORTANT PUBLIC INFORMATION along with some really nice words about TKC being the only Internets purveyor of content that's not outright propaganda. It's really our AWESOME TKC BLOG COMMUNITY that helps to keep Kansas City in the know about so many local, dirty dealings . . .

Anyhoo . . .

Let's not forget that the problems facing Southwest Early College Campus are the direct result of THE CURRENT KCPS LEADERSHIP and their meddling . . . Remember:

- Southwest was the location for a really nasty rape charge this year . . .

- Overall the school is now seen as a blighting influence on the neighborhood in which it resides . . .

- And generally, it's not so much the students/scholars who seem to be dragging the place down . . . But a very real administrative malaise looms over the school.

Count this as another Kansas City Education FAIL on deck as we prepare for Missouri State Education Officials to step in and break up the district any day and maybe in the coming new year.

Developing . . .

why not after all, they stopped teaching there years ago. thats what happens when you come by your position based on who you know not what you know

I hear they're going to turn Southwest into a giant bird sanctuary, but that doesn't make it true.

Mostly because I just thought of it.

Probability of this being made up: 85%.

Bird Sanctuary would be more productive.

The people of Brookside are praying this is true I'm sure. The neighborhood improves dramatically if so.

What the hell is the "aftermath of student pop?" Did they change from Coke to Pepsi?

Or is spelling out "population" too much of an effort beyond copying and pasting?

"it's not so much the students/scholars who seem to be dragging the place down". Tony, you must be kidding. The kids and their uninvolved parents are the problem.

Southwest Early Prison Campus

It would make a great charter school.

So we took a bunch of poor black kids who have nothing and put them in a school surrounded by a bunch of rich white people who have everything. Excellent idea.

All we need is some more community involvement with a few dozen town hall meetings led by more contractors, facilitators, and consultants who can dialogue, facilitate, and identify stakeholders so that, instead of helping their own kids understand and appreicate the importance of education, we can have the parents decide how the schools should be run.
All that has worked so well for KCPS in the past, let's just keep doing the same thing and see if this time the results might be different.
The perfect definition of insanity and yet another lost generation.

Maybe if Judge Clark threw billions more down a fuckin shit hole, then Southwest would again be the number 3 High School in the nation, like it was in the
60's.

What a joke.

Destroy, destroy, destroy in the name of PC.

And all the little criminals will be jammed into the other high schools Everyone wins. /sarc.

But seriously, what will this achieve? This shoves the problem around, but resolves nothing. The state can't step in soon enough.

Property values in the neighborhood will go up, and that's good. But the kids will still sell drugs, commit arson and rape and assault, and have sex on the cars of the neighbors wherever they end up.

I guess, however, that the owners of those cars will be 1000% more likely to ventilate the perps than the Brookside/Waldans are.

You're right 7:13 it's the white folks fault, after all their the ones who have had to give a couple billion of their tax dollars to fill these schools with the best equipment and resources available. It is their fault. Oh, and that sea of tranquility called Brookside they are surrounded by during the day must be very disruptive. After all, not hearing gun shots and sirens all day while they are in school must hinder the learning experience. I've heard the Blue Valley schools pipe in gun shots, yelling, and industrial noises through speakers in the school because it is so conducive to learning and that's why their grades are so good.

The effects of liberalism. Terrible school systems.

For hyperbole, ignorant speculation, made-up nonsense and twisting of what little facts are created by other news organizations, I nominate Slanderella himself.

To wit:

TKC EXCLUSIVE AND BREAKING NEWS!!! COULD 'MAYOR'S NIGHTS' MAKE KANSAS CITY YOUTH VIOLENCE WORSE?!?

No.

TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! DRASTIC CHARTER CHANGE COMING SOON!!! KANSAS CITY "STRONG MAYOR" CAMPAIGN EFFORT IN THE WORKS!!!

Which didn't happen.

TOP ECHELON TKC TIPSTERS ADVISE THAT THIS KANSAS CITY SPRINGTIME TORNADO SEASON IS EXPECTED TO BE "KATIE-HORNER-STYLE" CATACLYSMIC!!!

Calmest season in 21 years.

KANSAS CITY TOY TRAIN CRASH!!! LAWSUITS COULD DERAIL DOWNTOWN STREETCAR!!!

How'd that work out anyway.

TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY TRANSIT ACTIVIST CLAY CHASTAIN CLAIMS "CITY HALL" WILL FALL LIKE HUMPTY DUMPTY IF MISSOURI SUPREME COURT DOESN'T RULE IN FAVOR OF HIS PLAN!!!

Hi, I'm Clay Chastain. Will you sign my petition, and will you go out on a date with me?

THE TKC BOYCOTT HAS DEVASTATED ROASTERIE BIZ, RUINED THEIR IMAGE AND CALLED OUT THEIR BIZ PRACTICES THANKS TO KICK-ASS TKC TIPSTERS!!!

Not quite.

Therefore, I nominate Slanderella for Tony's Kansas City 2013 Person of the Year. And the winner is Slanderella.

Clearly. Here's your prize.

While not all conservatives are openly racist, almost all openly racist people are conservatives

This just breaks my heart. I am old enough to remember when Southwest was the gem of KC and the gem of the Midwest. I attended SM East, and we sure did not have the reputation of Southwest High School in Kansas City. It was the best. We were the best too, I guess, but not as good as they were.

Anonymous said...

It was one of the top 10 high schools in the nation for some years. Proud to have gone there.

Hey, 11:08, FUCK YOU, right up your libtard ass. You seem to be discounting the racism that pours out of 64131 and nearby ZIPs, directed at people whose sin was being born white.

I'd led Chuck take it from here with supporting links, but you probably don't have anyone around who can read them to you.

You truly suck.

The parents are the problem. What are the parents teaching the kids? Violent folks do not assimilate they dominate. The other school districts that absorb the problem kids/problem parents better get ready! The problem parents/problem kids don't have to cooperate or follow the rules. The bad thing is there are not that many problem kids but they can't be dealt with due to political correctness. Most of the kids that go to southwest are good kids! One bad family in any neighborhood or school can literally ruin the entire neighborhood or school. Racism is universal. Anyone can be a racist. Conservatives or liberals can be racist. White ,black, brown, yellow can be racist. Wakeup!I just thank god my mother taught me to love and defend myself. Not to hate anyone nor do harm to anyone without just cause!

It's always interesting to me that people are SO brave when their signature is "anonymous." Just like when I was a teacher, those papers with no name get NO credit, no matter how sound or unsound their argument may be.
