TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE INSIDER DEETS ON KCPD VS. KCFD SHOOTING!!! BEHIND THE SCENES: FIREFIGHTERS ARE FLIPPING OUT!!! DEAD FIREFIGHTER BEAT DOWN COP BADLY BEFORE GUNFIRE!!!

An off-duty KCFD firefighter BRUTALLY assaulted a KCPD off-duty officer and was shot dead. Serious shockwaves have been sent throughout Kansas City following the incident.

First here are the bare bones facts from TV news that announced the shooting just a few moments ago:

KCMO Fire Dept confirms KC firefighter was shot and killed by KC police officer

KC firefighter shot and killed by off-duty KC police officer after assault

UPDATED @ 4PM - KCTV5: Fight leads to KCPD officer killing firefighter celebrating wedding

Now . . . Here are the EXCLUSIVE deets that Insiders are telling TKC:

The story . . .

Cab driver was down by the Marriott and was told the firefighter assaulted the cabbie and the guy tried to stiff the driver. There was a chase . . . The firefighter turned on the officer and ASSAULTED him seriously. Amid the fight the off-duty officer SHOT THE FIREFIGHTER TWICE IN THE CHEST . . . In a really dumb move the injured officer and firefighter were transported to Truman  . . . This has been confirmed by the department.

What we're finding out . . . Sad detail that's provoking ire: The firefighter was leaving his wedding reception before the shooting incident  . . .

Now . . .

- FIREFIGHTER WHO WAS KILLED WAS INTO MIXED MARTIAL ARTS (MMA) FIGHTING AND HE FLIPPED COP IN THE AIR AND BODY SLAMMED THE KCPD OFFICER BEFORE THE DEADLY SHOOTING!!!

No . . . This isn't a "stand your ground deal" this was an assault that would have got anybody killed if they were up against somebody with CCW.

- KCPD OFFICER WAS OFF-DUTY . . . BUT IN UNIFORM!!!

This is an important fact that KCFD supporters are trying to spin but mainstream media will confirm soon . . .

- INJURIES TO KCPD OFFICER: BROKEN EYE (ORBITAL) SOCKET, FRACTURED SKULL AND BUSTED RIBS!!!

Now here's where things get really bad and make it scary to live in Kansas City . . .

- FIREFIGHTERS ARE GOING INSANE ON SOCIAL MEDIA AND TALKING TRASH ON KCPD!!!

Really scary stuff lots of trash thrown at KCPD . . .

Why didn't they tase him? Off-duty police turn in their Taser at the end of their shift . . . Just throwing out that FACT that nobody is mentioning . . .

- FIREFIGHTER WAS SLAMMING THE COP'S HEAD INTO SIDEWALK PAVEMENT!!!

Really brutal . . .

- WHAT WE'VE HEARD: FIREFIGHTERS WERE GETTING CONFRONTATIONAL TOWARDS KCPD AT TRUMAN IN THE IMMEDIATE AFTERMATH OF THE DEADLY SHOOTING!!!

This infamous tactic of the KCFD is raising concerns that they're out of control . . . One Insider says: "Is anybody surprised? Really?"

- KANSAS CITY INSIDERS FEAR AN ALL OUT WAR BETWEEN KCPD AND KCFD!!!

This is serious stuff and kind of above my pay grade . . . We waited quite a bit to confirm these details before blogging and we're kinda glad the Chiefs game is happening in order to cool everybody out.

The reality is that Kansas City has a serious problem with violence that has now been manifested in our civic institutions killing each other.

Developing . . .

There are some people who advocate local control of the police but it is this kind of news that should frighten all of our residents about the management of our city. Right now it is apparent that KCMO needs more oversight and more transparency. That should be the first priority of our elected council.

Here are the facts that TKC had right, I work with police and this is what they are mad about.

The firefighter assaulted so badly that his ribs were broken.

    There are skull fractures.

He has suffered a fractured optical socket.

Thank you for reporting this TKC. We do need to know the facts and the firefighters can't act like they are above the law.

    ReplyDelete
  57. ...and if he didn't have his taser why was he answering a potentially violent call?

    ReplyDelete
  60. @3:33. KCPD is not above the law! The AG'S office need to be called in.

    ReplyDelete
  61. 3:21, here is your answer: because that UNIFORMED off duty officer was being paid to work in that area to protect people from thugs and drunks, such as this firefighter. The cab driver flagged the officer to report being assaulted AND being stiffed for a fare. The officer pursued the firefighter who, unsurprisingly, ran. Officer tried to arrest the firefighter who attacked the officer and beat him, slamming his head into the pavement, fracturing his skull, causing brain swelling, breaking his eye socket and other facial bones, and ribs. The officer, who was not carrying a taser, was likely going to be beaten to death; he is currently in ICU. He shot the subject in center mass, as he was trained to do.

I have a CCW. If this had happened to me, I'd have done the same thing. What kind of drunken fool attacks someone they know is carrying a weapon and uses deadly physical force against them?

This is a sad situation because the firefighter's judgment was so poor he got himself killed and he seriously injured a police officer, perhaps permanently. That officer has to live with that shooting the rest of his life. That doesn't make the shooting any less justified. It was completely justified.

    ReplyDelete
  62. We need to check the ip address account info for the fire stations to see how much they are reading TKC. Sounds like a Kansas City fire department flack on here trying to talk down this story.

Is this all just a fabricated piece of "performance art"?

Does this have anything to do with Tech N9ne being the Mayor's guest of honor at the Christmas tree lighting?

Before the assault, was someone making jokes about firefighters with short hoses?

Was this guy having second thoughts about being married, and decided to fake his own death?

Is this a conspiracy to gain local control over the KCPD?

  74. just as an fyi, off duty officers do not carry tasers. officers are not individually assigned tasers. the tasers are assigned as inventory in each police cruiser. so if you're not riding in a police cruiser you will not have a taser.

the fact that you might not have a taser has no bearing on whether you should answer potentially violent calls for service. that would be akin to saying officers never should have done their job before the invention of tasers.

and lastly officers ARE individually assigned radios and would thus be wearing the radio while working paid off duty security.

it's a tragedy all the way around. however, from the facts as we know them the officer's actions appear to be justified.

    ReplyDelete
  75. 3:47, thank you for plainly stating additional facts. Hopefully it will help some understand that this officer was doing the job he was hired to do, and he behaved properly.

    ReplyDelete
  76. OK, it is obvious that most of you commenting are "younger" firefighters and police officers. Your feelings are understandable.

    However...

A generation ago firefighters and police officers were openly hostile on the scene in full view of the public, especially on the scene of medical calls following the firefighters strikes where cops manned fire houses/trucks

Firefighters would ignor their "first responder" responsibilities to lip off at officers and trying to instigate confrontation with cops.

Both cops and hosers held that grudge until they retired. This new generation didn't harbor those same feelings...until now.

No, the shit is going to get REAL UGLY again. And it is the public that is going to be the ultimate losers, especially on medical calls where the ambulance service is now part of the fire department. Smoot move, City Council.

Should cops let everyone who flees a crime just run away? What a BRILLIANT idea! Then thugs can commit crimes and unless they commit them in front of a cop and don't resist arrest, or happen to turn themselves in, everybody wins, except the crime victim. But at least the "punk ass cop" won't get hurt by the drunk "punk ass firefighter" who stiffed a working-class cabbie, assaulted him, ran from the cop, then lost the race so he assaulted the cop and beat him nearly to death.

  119. Trigger happy cop gets his first kill, firefighter's wife gets saved from a lifetime of domestic violence.

    Sounds like a win-win.

  126. Man there is way too much bullshit in here from a bunch of people who don't:

    1) a fucking thing about what went down on the street

    2) Just want to start shit and stir it more

    3) Who have no idea (obviously) whether this was a good shooting or not

    4) Have expert opinions, but few are qualified to form them or are asking answers that are required to form an real objective opinion. Most of the opinions here are total bullshit given the facts that the facts are not out.

I'd suggest some of the morons shut the fuck up just in case there is a real witness that actually knows what the fuck they are talking about. Then we all might learn enough to have an opinion.

  127. This thug was bound to be put down at some point soon anyway, just like a mean dog.

  128. This was not about one organization against the other. This was about the choices of one person, and the consequences of those choices. That being said, I think the black bands over the fire badges are a bit tasteless. If, at any point, a firefighter was beaten to that level for nothing more than doing his job, and as a result, that assailant lost his life; no honor would be given or considered acceptable.

Broncos 35 Frauds 21 and fading faster than the setting sun. As to the beat-down/shooting. Nothing good happens at 2:30 in the morning. Been there done that and I am lucky and thankful. NOTHING GOOD HAPPENS LATE AT NIGHT.

  130. I want to know why the cop was allowed to use city property in an off duty job?

  131. What city property?

  132. This was one idiot who could not control himself. It is a sad situation but it's not KCFD against KCPD. That is what we need to avoid.

    ReplyDelete
  133. Amen, 6:06.

  134. Chief Berardi should not be hanging out with a thug who beat up a cop. If anything he should be checking on the KCPD officer and apologize for the conduct of his department.

  135. This is really going to get interesting. The crips vs. the bloods.

    ReplyDelete
  136. 5:56 You are an idiot! Any company or private citizen can hire a police officer to work off duty to protect their person or property.

This is done in high crime areas or in areas that may be prone to crime, such as a hotel or good example the Plaza.

    ReplyDelete
  137. This is what the Mayor was trying to address. KCPD has no accountability just pull the trigger.

  138. Has a copy of the report been sent to the AG's office?

    ReplyDelete
  139. EXCELLENT QUESTION!

Won't matter. Because the report is doctored.

    ReplyDelete
  140. Do not be a conspiracy theorist. This is a horrible tragedy and both organizations are doing their best to offset the damage. The fats are out there and this is a lone drunk guy who made a horrible decision and not the whole KCFD. That's the story that needs to be told.

  141. As a tax payer I side with the police department. The Fire Fighter (not in uniform and off duty) may have been at a wedding celebration, but even though the officer was off duty he was still in uniform, therefore the FF should have respected the officer (in uniform) as the rest of us public have to do even if we don't work for the fire department.

  142. Petty obvious that TKC, makes most of the post on here

    ReplyDelete
  143. Here are some real insider facts. The dispute with the cab driver was that he charged the firefighter $80 from a northland home. To downtown. When the firefighter disputed the fare, the driver became irrate and called the firefighter a cunt. Got out and came at the firefighter. The off duty cop should have not engaged in chase alone without calling for back up.

    ReplyDelete
  144. Yea...cops should ALWAYS wait for back up before they do anything. Your ignorant...trying to blame the cop for doing his job and trying to justify what the firefighter did.

    ReplyDelete
  145. It's amazing on how many retarded folks are on here saying stupid shit about both departments.

    ReplyDelete
  146. 8:07pm

the officer should NOT have engaged in the chase alone huh?

who are you to make that call? what police training do you have? how many years have you worked as a police officer on the street to make such a determination.

i'll answer those for you: you're nobody to make that call. you have NO police training. you have worked ZERO years in law enforcement.

in short, you have NO idea what you're talking about as it pertains to the police officer's tactics, techniques and procedures

    ReplyDelete
  147. most firefighters are just crybabies and peices of shit anyway. don't stop with just one
