ReplyDeleteThese stats aren't unique to Jackson County, they are pretty much on par around the nation. And imagine, 1 in 4 when even thousands of rapes go unreported.
ReplyDeleteWell 718, this is a case where I'm not impressed with being average.
DeleteBut she will prosecute rapes in Maryville.
ReplyDeleteAnd she will prosecute police officers.
DeleteMost police officers in Jackson County aren't the least bit surprised that the Jackson County Prosecutor's office won't prosecute.
ReplyDeleteGetting raped in Jackson county is solid proof you shouldn't been there in the first place. If your white and decent looking get the hell out of that shithole.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is that there are quite a few reported rapes that either lack sufficient evidence or just are not rapes. With that said I think sex incidents should be fully investigated and resolved, but there are a number of legitimate reasons why sex offenses are not charged and one of the biggest is that the investigative results do not equal the crime of rape. Unfortunately no police agency or prosecutor wants to have the public believing there is no justice, but all to frequently blaming the system is the first place folks go in their heads when they just don't know the whole story.
