The holiday season often brings out the worst in Kansas City politicos.
So far . . .
- Mayor Sly Touted A Tax Break That Doesn't Really Exist.
- City Hall Wrote Kansas City Firefighters A Blank Check Of A Pension Deal Despite A Rapidly Evolving EMS Field And Shrinking Budget.
And now . . .
JACKSON COUNTY EXEC MIKE SANDERS IS ONCE AGAIN PLAYING SANTA IN AN BIT EMBARRASSING HOLIDAY CHARITY!!!
Never mind that the real secret Santa is long dead and nobody really cares about the new one . . .
Also . . .
KANSAS CITY WOULD BE BETTER OFF WORKING FOR A $15 MINIMUM WAGE THEN WASTING IT ON HOLIDAY X-MAS WARM FUZZIES THAT ARE MOSTLY AN EXCUSE TO PARTY!!!
But I digress . . . The point here is that the County Exec has always been pretty tone deaf when it comes to holiday politics . . .
Last year the County Exec personally took credit for Christmas In The Park
This year . . .
The County Exec played Santa in the media . . .
Examples:
Family that was previously homeless now has a roof over their head
Great Headshot On This Hendricks The Grinch Hack Job: Jackson County’s home giveaway warms families’ hearts
And while this has been a somewhat nice holiday so far . . . Let's not forget that nobody wants to think about politics for X-mas.
More in a bit . . .
Tony, you need to give credit where it's due. At least he knows how to work the press and not cater to them.
ReplyDeleteThe home giveaway program is one that makes sense. A lot more sense than giving tax dollars to developers on the Plaza and Briarcliff.
ReplyDeleteI'm holding out for his New Year's resolutions to do something about the property assessment system, court administration, and work to get the taxpayers' $800 grand back from the Chamber swells' medical tax election fiasco.
ReplyDeleteYou know; do his job.

Mike Sanders is one lazy lying piece of shit, no negotiations on
this assessment.
Stop being a bunch of fucking Grinches! A family or two got houses from the county that's better than most of what happens from our government.
ReplyDeleteJust another goober in a Jos A. bank ill-fitting suit.
ReplyDeleteWhat a snow job and not one legislator in shot what a glory hound. The people of Jackson County deserve the credit it's their money.Quit lying Sanders
ReplyDeleteNutter's wigged creature eyes the end of his career.
ReplyDeleteFor a mere $800,000,000 Jackson County could have had translational medical research. Now our pols are relegated to giving away a couple of cheap houses. Better put a lien on them otherwise they will be mortgaged and lost in a few years.
ReplyDeleteNutter's wigged creature better start working on his re-election campaign - filing starts in two months, and I just can't wait to see who files against him.
ReplyDeleteShut your pie-hole four-eyes.
ReplyDeleteHow about legislator for life waits. Christmas for everyone
ReplyDeleteI'm fine with helping a homeless family but really how can they actually afford the house? How does someone on a fast food income with four kids pay the utilities? Taxes and insurance? Upkeep? Sorry to say I just don't see how this works in the long run. The math doesn't add up.
