The Atlantic: Is the 'Traditional Downtown' Dead?
The main point of the essay is that trendy Downtown revitalization efforts across the nation are really more tourist attractions than the focus of city business and cultural life like yesteryear . . . In other words, the reality of a "Downtown" of the old days is long gone and Kansas City is basically throwing away tons of money on a glorified theme park dedicated to an obsolete downtown idea that technology and demographic trends have killed.
tony, you really should read the article and the ebook the article is all about. You obviously did not or you wouldn't have linked to it since it doesn't really fit your "in other words" misinterpretation.

ReplyDeleteOnce the trolley is running the entire downtown area will be revitalize. I am sure companies from all over the US will be moving their headquarters here.
