They have an entire isle at Walmart. They can lay everyone off and still have a few people manage the retail end for Walmart.

If you want the Hallmark truth, I will tell you as I've done so many times. This company is in serious trouble. Both dollar and unit sales face double-digit declines. The innovation is terrible. American Greetings is kicking the absolute crap out of Hallmark with $.50 cards in the dollar channel. They lost a $50M grocery customer this year to American Greetings. Walmart stopped giving Hallmark new store card departments. The list goes on and on....

You're right 6:12.

If it didn't cost around eight bucks to buy a nice Hallmark greeting card, the company wouldn't be in the shitter.
They got big and greedy, and since they were the only show on the planet for awhile, they had some great years. But like the KC Star, it's about time for Hallmark to go.

Perhaps they should've approached and embraced the internet differently.
