I wonder if the guy was feeling pressure from his jersey wearing buddies to "be a man" and kick the guy's ass for mistakenly getting into the wrong vehicle? Probably were cheering him on while he was pounding on the drunk.
ReplyDeleteShould be an Interesting case to watch in the media. Can you imagine if the victim was black? This would be the next Trayvon. As it is white on white it will likely stay local, but still a really interesting legal situation. Amazingly sad situation. I wonder how many seconds it would have taken the Jeep owner to question the guy and find out this was (it looks like) an innocent mistake?

DeleteWhen there is a mixture of alcohol and " gotta show I am a man " mentality that is a formula for disaster. The Chiefs games bring out the mean people. That is why my family and I no longer attend the Chiefs games.

ReplyDelete"Rich people's toys?" You should see some of the people at the games. There is definitely people of all classes at the game. Did you see the house searched on the news? What is the size of that house, 900 sq. ft.? I would argue our "less educated" population are the ones who are extremely drunk at the games. And yes I'm judging by their mullets, their slight redneck accents, and the unintelligent things they say.

ReplyDeleteUnlike television or professional sports when people fight sometimes they get hurt. Most fights are simply wrestling or wild punching but a bare fist that makes solid contact can cause injury or death. But in today's culture men always want to prove how tough they are.

Face reality: Football is a low-life sport. It's a simulated battlefield game in which is mainly about millionaires inflicting brain damage on each other while thousands of drunken louts scream, cheer and occasionally run amok. This poor guy got beaten to death ... a horrible way to die, essentially a form of torture ... for nothing more than being drunk, drowsy and confused. Somebody should get a life sentence without parole for this. Y'all got a very nasty town.
