Check The KSHB Christa Dubill Conversation With Kansas City Mayor Sly James

Credit where it's due . . . There are a lot of good moments in this Kansas City sit down . . .

NBC 41 Action News: Christa Dubill sat down with Kansas City Mayor Sly James as he talked about the future and reminisced about his past.

And once again, it's impossible not to like Mayor Sly for his charisma, charm and intelligence and only looking at his record of raising taxes in this town more than 4 times in his first term would lead a person to start questioning the motives behind his beautiful smile.

Comments

  1. Did she ask him what his views on unsolicited bulk email are?

  2. Key question, what has the mayor accomplished in his first term in office????

  3. 617 - 527 has the more significant question.

  4. The fact that the Mayor would feel the need for a friendly little puff piece like this says a lot about how he views his own performance.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Failure to promote the Mayor and position him in a positive light is what got Rotert fired.

  6. It's too bad that Dubill and most oft he other local news celebrities don't know squat about what KCMO government is really about or even doing. Sly could have told her he had just arrived at the new KCI terminal on the vast streetcar system and she would have congratulated him on making the trip.
    Spoonfeeding at its worst.

  7. ROFLMAO oh man what a pair these two make.

Did the Ape looking mayor have to give Dubill, aka the Mad Cow, a slab of ribs, potato salad, baked beans, cole slaw, and a pan of brownies before or after the interview. Sounds like Tony has a feed store crush on the Mad Cow, Dubill.

I forgot the Texas toast with that Mad Cow order. May I help you please ?

  10. Tony's pretty easy to please (dupe).

  11. People actually watch this crap and can maintain a straight face?

    ReplyDelete
  12. City Kansas is brain dead. There can be no further explanation.

  13. Rather than this I suggest watching "You Don't Even Know You're A Slave" on YouTube.

You really don't think we are that weak and stupid do you Tony?

  15. All I heard was the chief saying their after me, their after me. What kind of pussy leads that department? Grow a set of balls man, you sound like a paranoid child. How the mayor didn't throw him over his lap and spank his ass I'll never know.

  16. He give her his State of CK growth report?

  17. I am so glad I do not live in KCMO. Honestly, KCMO is kind of a joke. Sure it has some nice buildings, but what city doesnt? Our police and fire department are trying to kill each other. You have bad crime the mayor only seems to blame guns on, your school district is a nationwide joke and case study. It doesnt even have accreditation. You have all sorts of mini scandals going on within city hall. The paper is a left wing rag now. Its so far left that its subscribership and reading base is decaying faster than the city sewer system and roads.

I love the Royals and Chiefs, but good grief we cant win anything. Only Sporting KC is a championship team, and that is in Kansas, NOT Missouri.

AND...we have a local news media that refuses to investigate real problems going on in government.

  18. I wonder when everyone will wake up and realize that everything Sly James and crew are doing is just an elaborate fabrication.

    After it's to late probably.

  19. Mighty Sly James

    ReplyDelete
  20. Bet Sly and his crew are happy only 38,265 voted for him.

  21. Political Party - Independent

    Meaning zero accountability

    ReplyDelete
  22. Yes it's pretty revealing he won with only 21 percent of the City's registered voters voting.

Further proof people will get what they deserve not what they expect.

  23. It's no wonder why folks no longer watch channel 41 as a serious news source. Channel 41 has told their anchors "No bad news reporting on City Hall". This basically censors the public's ability to get news that affects them. I'm wondering why there is still a Channel 41 at all in Kansas City.

  25. IF you're going to watch local news (not recommended).....it's hard not to like Christa Dubill.
Does she come across as a deep-thinking intellectual? NO, because if she was, she wouldn't be a "talking head" on local news.
Ms. Dubill seems to be a genuinely friendly, caring, nurturing type with an easy laugh and pleasant personality. She's good at what her job requires.

Now, as for Mayor James, I've always said I give him points for working hard, his military service, and going to law school. However, Mayor James exemplifies a common pattern seen among the white collar class. He allows his ambition and ego to drive him toward failure. What do I mean? Ask most people what's the most important thing in their life. They'll respond "my family." But, what do they actually do to their family? They work long hours and weekends, they spend more time with colleagues than family members, in short, they're AWOL. This results in troubled relationships, divorce, children acting out, etc. Mr. Mayor your actions say you care more about your ego than your family. Share responsibilities, delegate, delegate, prioritize. Your family awaits your presence.

  26. "The mayor’s wife is busy with her own life. She has no aspirations of being in office, she also has no desires to set up a desk outside the mayor’s office."

In other words the crooks don't have to deal with Gloria screening them out when they want access to the puppet mayor currently in charge dishing out your tax dollars to them.

  27. What passes for leadership in this town is pathetic. There's not more to say than that.

    ReplyDelete
  28. A juris doctorate and military service does not a leader make. Just ask all of the other military/jd toting assholes in Kansas City. Military service typically symbolizes follower type qualities, leadership in the military is mostly discouraged. Juris doctorate holders... most attorneys aren't that smart. They just aren't. I know a ton of them who refuse to even get their licenses. That's about how worthwhile that degree is. Once licensed most spend only a few years practicing before they find out its not what its cracked up to be. Lawyers are ass clowns. They unethical, lying pieces of shit. Why do so many lie because they are incapable of making quality arguments without it. Like a 4 year old at a candy store... Did you steal the candy? (fingers cross) No, I didn't. The judge knows they lie and that's the culture. It's a pointless circle of bullshit.

  29. "Pointless Circle of Bullshit"

I believe 3:31 has just identified the next CK slogan.

Excuse me, but you're even more cynical than I am. And that's extreme!
If you're one of the people here constantly lamenting how lazy and unproductive so many people seem to be....then DON'T CONDEMN those who at least had the initiative, the intelligence, and the ambition to educate themselves after completing military service!
Yes, lots of people go to law school and don't pass the bar or quickly grow disillusioned, but to smear the whole profession is nonsense!
Is everybody in YOUR profession unethical, ass-clown followers, like you?
