TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! TIME TO SAY GOODBYE TO FRED ARBANAS!!! TONY MILLER EARNS $150K FOR UPCOMING JACKSON COUNTY CAMPAIGN!!!
After playing for the Kansas City Chiefs back when they wore leather helmets, Fred Arbanas has been a member of the Jackson County since 1973.
THAT'S RIGHT, FRED ARBANAS HAS BEEN IN OFFICE FOR SLIGHTLY LONGER THAN TKC HAS BEEN ALIVE @ 40 YEARS!!!
Seriously, anybody arguing that Fred needs another term needs to be slapped in public.
Kansas City Insiders have told us that behind the scenes Mr. Arbanas wants to go out on his own terms and will "tease" another run before he eventually hangs up his cleats. Because Jackson County represents the last vestige of old school Democratic Party Machine Politics . . . Most politicos are allowing him that luxury.
But not here @ TKC . . .
NOW IS THE TIME TO BEAT THE RUSH AND SAY GOODBYE TO FRED ARBANAS AS A JACKSON COUNTY LEGISLATOR!!!
Here's the guy who is gonna replace him . . .
Tony Miller . . .
TKC introduced you to Tony Miller a bit earlier this year and now it seems that his election work is warming up in this Jackson County 4th quarter.
From his about page and the very basics . . . "Tony Miller is a Jackson County resident, former prosecutor, small business person, civic activist, and proud father who is running for the Jackson County Legislature in 2014."
Here's a link to Mr. Miller's legal work profile.
And of course . . .
THE BIG DEAL IS THE $150K CONTRIBUTION FROM ANOTHER LAW FIRM TO THE TONY MILLER JACKSON COUNTY CAMPAIGN!!!
The recent $150K bit of win comes from Leawood law firm Davis, Ketchmark, McCreight, & Ivers PC - This group is comprised of personal injury lawyers with offices in Kansas City Proper as well.
A closer look . . .
Click the image or this link for a bigger, better view.
And even amid this current wave of Kansas City Chiefs glory . . . There's no way Jackson County Legislator Fred Arbanas will take on this challenge as we enter a new era in local politics funded with a great deal of cash and behind the scenes moves seen FIRST here on TKC. Natch.
Jackson County politics is always good for a bit of entertainment.
ReplyDeleteThank you TKC.
Wow - you're nearly 40 years old and STILL don't have a job.
ReplyDeleteYour moms must be so proud.
And yet here you are following his every post...so who's the real tool then 7:34?
ReplyDeleteI don't trust anybody with squinty eyes. Just look at what the Japs did to us in WW2.
ReplyDeleteThis is great, now can we get that felon out of office in Jackson County?
ReplyDeleteTony, here's the way democracy works. If Arbanas wants another term, and a majority of voters are happy enough to vote for him, he gets another term. And your opinion of the voters won't count.
ReplyDeleteFYI, life has intervened and I hadn't logged into TKC for a couple of days. It now occurs to me that while the stories change, the content of the blog really doesn't.
Same ol, same ol, day after day.
Tony's a good guy.
ReplyDelete.
ReplyDeleteMR. Tony,
I am watching C Span regarding the GOP shutdown. It occurs to me that we will continue to have road blocks because we have allowed gerrymandering to be the law of the land. Those lazy, crazy T- Baggers will only cause the GOP to have Red on Red infighting. Nothing will change as long as the bewildered outcasts in our nation turn their eyes to the Koch Brothers for salvation.
I see the same thing with the lackluster Jackson County Legislature. These lifers have "safe seats". True, the County is lower than the KCPS board, but that doesn't mean a body just SITS there doing nothing.
Mr. Arbanas has done enough, poor thing, he needs to stay home. as does Rev Tindall. Lord have mercy, the man IS A FELON. Dear Jean Peters Baker you are legally obligated to put the screws to this man. Do it, lady or GO HOME.
Tarwater, Waites, Williams, Burnett, etc, take a good look at your career in the County and honestly ask if you should continue to waste space.
Oh my, I think I need my chocolate break.
county phones down again.
ReplyDeletethanks scott burnett

ReplyDeleteChange is fine but I want to know is:
ReplyDelete"What ARE THEY BUYING from a Jackson County legislator for $150,000.00?"
$?
ReplyDeleteWhat are they buying? good question. County works with less money than the city, could it be the HEALTH CARE BOONDOOGLE???????
Oh, NO. THAT IS just doing GOOD for the COUNTY.
All of those CIVIC LEADERS wouldn't let anything sleazy happen to that tax generated money.
No, we are going to see little rickety kids made whole and healthy, Mema will live to be 115, cancer will be cured and fungus on weird Uncle Jake's toe will clear up with out any gnarly side effects.
Keep moving, nothing to see here.
Bottom line--if Fred wants to stay in office, the voters will allow him to do that. He is honest as the day is long and is a credit to the County. What say you, bloggers?
ReplyDeleteExactly : No one gives a political candidate money unless they GET something from them. Fundamental politics 101.
ReplyDeleteFred is 75, really doubts he wants to spend the rest of his golden years doing this crap.
ReplyDeletethe days are
ReplyDeletegetting shorter for Fred
Henry Rizzo is the best example of bad examples that the Jackson County Legislature has produced. His likeness is seen in Dan Tarwater, Scott Burnett, and Rev. Tyndall. This political entity should be disbanded, and all the tax Dollars it wastes should be wasted by other less sickening people.
ReplyDeleteAll those guy are cool and Fred wants to stick around an PARTAY!
ReplyDeleteLet's Do IT!
Get rid of all of them--they only serve themselves. They are so corupt.
ReplyDeletePersonal injury attorneys? Just like sly James
ReplyDeleteFuck Sly James.
ReplyDeleteMoney talks, bullshit walks. Another bought and paid for election - what a surprise.
