TKC BREAKING AND EXCLUSIVE NEWS!!! MEET THE JACKSON COUNTY MEDICAL RESEARCH SALES TAX CONSULTANTS!!!
It's surprising how little that mainstream media lets us know about the political process and the story behind the scenes of Kansas City's elections.
To be fair, hardly anybody votes anymore so maybe it's not a big deal . . . But the gossip is still sweet.
And so . . .
IT WAS KIND OF A SHOCK TO LEARN THAT GOP JUGGERNAUT JEFF ROE AND HIS AXIOM TEAM TAKE THE LEAD AMONG THE TEAM PITCHING THE JACKSON COUNTY MEDICAL RESEARCH SALES TAX!!!
It kinda makes sense given that the offices listed for the Committee for Research, Treatment and Cures are in the posh Northaland Briarcliff stomping ground of one of this nation's GOP rising stars. By the way, I've heard that Trezo Mare is lovely and impresses Midwest hotties who aspire to better things . . .
Still, as far as Jeff Roe's GOP street cred goes . . . Is that what's hot in the streets now for Republicans? Raising taxes? Sure, KCMO is technically non-partisan but this HUGE consulting contract for Kansas City corporate elite kinda makes sense for the leader of Axiom and then kinda doesn't . . . The effort is entrenched in the typical Kansas City Democratic Machine politics. However, the corporate angle might offer a redeeming excuse. Whatever the case . . . I'm sure the most rewarding part of political consulting work is simply cashing the big checks.
The rest of the consulting team Kansas City knows well . . .
Kansas City consultant Pat O'Neill is taking a break from his mostly corporate work to serve the Civic Council in another capacity.
Media watchers who notice nicer art on this project can credit O'Neill's shop.
And given that this is a Jackson County deal we're talking about . . .
Of course, just about everybody knows that Kansas City Democratic Machiavelli Steve Glorioso is leading the sales tax charge as well. Without Mr. Glorioso, the Civic Council and other local corporate patrons would struggle to build close relationships with this town's top politicos who all seek Mr. Glorioso's advice . . . And yes, like it or not . . . That includes Mayor Sly James.
This quick list of local sales tax architects is important if only because it's not the typical compilation of usual suspects.
UPDATED . . . PAT GRAY AND LARRY JACOB ALSO COMPRISE NOTABLES DOING CONSULTING ON THE SALES TAX . . . WE'LL HAVE MORE ON THAT COMING UP!!!
The GOP/Democratic Party collabo powers this corporate tax effort and reminds us that partisan politics is a bad joke somebody played on the last remaining idiots who still listen to talk radio. Elections in Kansas City are about money and power and nothing besides.
