KANSAS CITY CALL HINTS JACKSON COUNTY QUESTION 1 ENDORSEMENT?!?!

More than a few concerned Kansas City political denizens are troubled by a bit of political division in the urban core regarding an upcoming sales tax question.

So far, the most politically astute and connected groups like Freedom, Inc. and the KC NAACP have stood against the upcoming sales tax question and called it "regressive" while questioning the merits of public money used to fund private shareholders.

However . . .

KANSAS CITY COMMUNITY NEWS READERS FEAR AN UPCOMING KC CALL ENDORSEMENT OF THE JACKSON COUNTY QUESTION 1!!!

Last week, more than a few TKC Readers took note of an Eric Wesson column touting the merits of the tax.

A STRANGE LINE ABOUT (CONVICTED FELON) JACKSON COUNTY LEGISLATOR REV. TINDALL WATCHING THE MONEY SENT URBAN CORE VOTERS INTO PANIC MODE!!!

A KC Insider said . . .

"Okay, so we're going to have a felon watch the money and that's supposed put our mind at ease? I don't get it. The article really just reminds us that we have a long way to go if we really want to 'reform' the County."

To be clear . . . The Call has NOT YET made an endorsement either way on Question 1 but the hint of support was troubling enough to make many readers take notice.

  1. Buy enough ads and Eric gives you the endorsement.

  2. Why hasn't Jean Peters Baker taken any action to get Tindall out of office?

How much you want to bet that The Call's pages will be filled with ads from The Jackson County Parks Department and COMBAT over the next six months if they endorse the right way?

This so-called research tax is the most pitiful excuse for a money grab in a long while.

We don't cure anything, we just manage the symptoms.

20 years is an artificial timeframe. These grifters will come back with a renewal 5 years before the sunset.

This campaign has done some light shedding on:
    * Mike Sanders. Just how ignorant is this guy?
    * Cathy Jolley. She got her butt handed to her at the SKCA meeting on Monday. Sweetheart, you don't bring a Majorette baton to a gunfight.
    * Eric Wesson. His First Goal Political consulting business runs smack into his Journalism ethics. Local media types look the other way. How many "ads" do you have to buy to get an endorsement? I really want to know. Maybe the KC Star can find out for the residents.
    * James Tindall. We are suppose to be comforted knowing this egregious, continual law breaker will watch the money? Like have Jack the Ripper heading up a citizen's watch in Whitechapel. He is signaling that he will seek office again even though he is barred by state law as he is a known felon.
    * Jean Peters Baker. DO YOUR JOB. The state law barring felons from public office HAS BEEN UPHELD in Missouri courts. Any law student can help you fill in the paper work, really. Where did you get your law degree? And why do you think you are qualified for higher office?

  8. F*uck the tax this is more important:

    PETA
I feel that PETA should back the premise that all NFL and MLB teams should rid themselves of the offensive ANIMAL names for for their team mascots.

  9. I read the article and I didn't get any impression that The Call was endorsing the tax. I thought they presented a pro and con point of view with comments from both sides. They further explained what the tax is all about because I for one had no idea what the research was/is.The Star or Globe has never explained it.

  10. PETA
Ich glaube, dass PETA die Prämisse Rücken sollten, dass alle NFL und MLB Teams sollten sich von der offensiven Tiernamen für für ihre Team-Maskottchen zu befreien.

Ohh you is so cute! on here trying to appear all balanced and informed!
put on your floaties, genius, your feeble attempt to control the comments just tanked. Back to the pro tax war room! you have to finalize the ad buys before Wednesday at the latest.

still here? Shoo, shoo, you got work to do.

as for Jean Peters Baker, she must have been picked as special prosecutor for the Maryville mess because she has time on her hands.
