HOW WILL BISHOP FINN REACT TO MORE KANSAS CITY CATHOLIC CONTROVERSY?!?
In the aftermath of a tragic sex scandal, critics call out Bishop Finn to make even more tough decisions.
Check yet another test of Bishop Finn's judgement:
KC Bishop Robert Finn has often "cracked down" on those he thinks violate Catholic teaching and disrespect Catholic authorities. One wonders if he'll "crack down" on Bishop Bernard Fellay, the head of an ultra-conservative Catholic group called the Society of St. Pius X, who made some startling comments in KC this past weekend,
Fellay said “From the start,” he said, “we have the impression that we have something wrong with this Pope. We may not have the entire picture at this point, we have enough to be scared to death.”
Pope Francis appears to promote 'a dangerous relativism,' Fellay claims. He cites as worrisome a comment the pontiff made to an Italian atheist: “Each of us has a vision of good and of evil. We have to encourage people to move towards what they think is good.” and "everyone has his own idea of good and evil and must choose to follow the good and fight evil as he conceives them."
Fellay said of the Pope’s response: “That’s really not Catholic! The conscience must be formed according to God’s law. So to pretend that anyone can full his own idea is just rubbish. It has nothing to do with Catholic teaching. It is absolute relativism.”
