  3. First, the election will depend on the VOTES and there won't be many from the urban core.
And more to the point, Freedom Inc will support whichever side of this issue that gives them the most money. And with the big dogs thowing cash into the pro-tax side, it's not hard to figure out which way that breeze will blow.
It's too bad that KCMO politics is forever stuck in the way things have been done since the 1960s. Not a very good way to make good decisions in the 21st Century.

  4. "long stood against regressive sales tax"? When was the last time Freedom Inc. opposed a sales tax?

  5. When was the last time Yael and the star opposed a sales tax

  6. Those that vote and what is put out for "their community's" consumption will be based on whoever throws them the most scraps. If it means some kind of "in" for a select few "leaders" that is what will be pitched regardless of what is good for the people of "their community. "

  7. But he wants a bigger tax, so how is he standing against power brokers and their regressive tax?

    ReplyDelete
  8. The tax could never pass statewide. Too damn many rural folks who have had it with the old tax and spend programs.

    ReplyDelete
  9. So if the tax passes in Jackson County any state taxation program Bradshaw is cooking up with his fat cat clients would never pass because Jackson county would not support it being already taxed for their local program. Gotta love the players.

  10. I can create more shockwaves by farting. Such hyperbole.

But that's right, cash in the future for a few measly pennies now. By all means.

I don't really see where this brad guy is coming from here, but I like any action thats against the tax. Like an earlier commenter said, its time to move past the old plutocracy when it comes to deciding what gets gov cash and what doesnt.

    Mr. Tony,
I will not vote for this slapped up tax.
No community vetting, ballot language is poorly written, TAX ON FOOD, TAX ON PRESCRIPTIONS and no say if the dollars actually stay in Jackson County.
This tax will push the tax levy near the 10% marl.
THIS TAX WILL MAKE US POORER, TAX OUR FOOD, MAKE THE PRESCRIPTIONS SOME OF US NEED MORE COSTLY.

IS MIKE SANDERS TRYING TO MAKE US SICK? ARE WE GUINEA PIGS IN THE MAKING?

Nope, won't vote to pass this money grab.

  15. Dr. Bradshaw has recently added Ninja to his resume, his newest accolade bestows legendary abilities including invisibility, walking on water, and control over natural elements.

“I’m a man of various interests and want to continually challenge myself with new opportunities. I really enjoy collecting certificates and found that the most rewarding path to take at this time in my life was that of the ninja.”

Sources for Bradshaw indicate that his ninja services will be offered to clients seeking a covert agent or mercenary specializing in unorthodox arts of war. The benefits of espionage, sabotage, and infiltration, have proven effective tools in the courtroom as well as the occasional assassination assignment.

“I was recently asked to put down a rebel coup in a third world country by myself, relying only on my newly acquired ninja skills. Fortunately, I squelched the uprising without causing any harm to the rebels,” said Bradshaw.

Bradshaw also displays stealthy skills in the courtroom. Last week he reportedly gave a closing argument by effortlessly explaining a surgical procedure near the judge’s bench, then smashed a smoke bomb and mysteriously re-appeared next to the jurors to deliver the final line of his argument. The jurors were so impressed with the theatrics that they found in his favor during deliberation.

  17. Do we really need another sales tax that raises KC's rate over 10%?

  18. why vote for the tax when stowers is going to build a center out south of town?

  19. Freedom Inc. = powerless

This unsuspecting white guy wasted time and energy with this group.

  20. Oxford is already doing medical research (Stowers) so there's no need for a tax. Kansas City should support Oxford instead. Why does Kansas City always screw with problems which already have a well established solution. No new taxes. If so, everyone who supported it will get a "no" vote from me come election time.
