B-Day Party For Kansas City Innocent Baby Gunned Down Seems Too Sad. Sorry.
On the surface, a birthday party for a recent baby homicide victim is supposed to be a nice occasion and maybe part of the healing process.
Take a look . . .
Damiah White’s short life celebrated on fourth birthday
With as much respect as possible and a warning for anybody really moved by the tribute to stop reading NOW . . .
SORRY, BUT THIS KANSAS CITY HOMICIDE REMEMBRANCE SOUNDS LIKE THE WORST B-DAY PARTY EVAR!!!
Quick rundown of why this party strikes TKC as exceptionally sad . . .
- The guest of honor, an innocent baby gunfire victim, is dead.
- All of the other guests are in mourning.
- It's just a reminder of all the b-days the poor little girl is never going to experience.
Again, even vigils have their place as part of the healing process but this idea seems exceptionally depressing and possibly just a reminder of how Kansas City isn't thinking through any aspect of our ongoing homicide problem.
