KANSAS CITY MISSOURI HOUSE REP. JEREMY LAFAVER WEED BUST POTPOURRI!!!

Kansas City politicos are abuzz regarding Jeremy LaFaver's pot bust antics . . .

Here are just a few quick hits we want to distribute before we take a closer look at this thing . . . Don't worry, we'll try not to drag it out.

First up . . .We hear that . . .

FUTURE GOV. CANDIDATE CHIS KOSTER IS LIVID OVER THE CHARGES AND THE MAJOR SCREW-UP BY A LEGISLATOR IN A DEMOCRATIC STRONGHOLD!!!

AG Koster is squeaky clean but nobody doubts this pot bust will be used to make a nasty connection among all Missouri Democrats.

Also . . .

ANOTHER FRIEND OF CRYSTAL WILLIAMS TAKES A MAJOR HIT!!!

LaFaver is friends with Crystal and they even share campaign infrastructure connections. Sure, neither the blame (nor the dutchie) will be passed along from LaFaver to Crystal on the left hand side . . . But after the smoke clears it's obvious that friends of Crystal don't have a lot of influence.

And then . . .

THIS ISN'T ABOUT REFORM OF MARIJUANA LAWS, IT'S ABOUT A MISSOURI POLITICO ARRESTED FOR BREAKING THE LAW!!!

Two aspects of this point . . .

- Pro-Weed reformers want to weigh-in on this one but it's not like LaFaver was busted while on the House floor fighting for better weed . . . Even if his offense came only a few hours after he was in the company of Gov. Jay. This is about a bust of a politico who apparently didn't want to leave his stash at home for any length of time.

- More importantly, given the pot charge . . .

THIS KINDA MAKES LAFAVER LOOK LIKE HE'S ADVOCATING FOR HIS WEED STASH!!!

Sure, we'd like to think LaFaver is a tireless advocate for families and children but his advocacy for pot smokers seems a bit conflicted in light of recent events.

Like it or not . . .

MISSOURI INSIDER: "COULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED TO A NICER GUY!!!"

Did you know the GOP House speaker HATES LaFaver? . . . So much so that there have been a few notable showdowns with the newbie Rep. left waiting to be called on after just about everybody including the janitor has had their say. Still . . . Behind the scenes the MO House Rep. has a reputation for arrogance and self-righteousness that hasn't made it easy to find support after his fall from on high.

Furthermore, there's concern that this scandal will be used to divert attention from the more important issues of the veto session.

"He has given the GOP exactly what they needed," A Missouri Democratic Insider said. "We want to make this (veto session) about standing against a destructive tax bill and helping working people. But LaFaver is going to be used as a talking point to unite Missouri against working families and tarnish the reputation of anyone in his company."

There's so much more to hash out in this LaFaver hot mess.

We'll have more in a bit . . .

Comments

  1. Dude should resign.

  2. I'd give CRYSTAL WILLIAMS the ”Ol in out, in out.”

  3. LeFaver and Brooks can start a sex and drug colony for the shamed and scorned politicians who refuse to resign.

Maybe Koster could join that club (after hours, of course).

  4. No he shouldn't. He is no dopier than his Republican colleagues in Jeff. City.

    ReplyDelete
  5. Lafaver should submit to a drug test, so we know exactly what narcotics he is on. Who knows the dope that he has in his system.

  6. so breaking the law is ok with you, 4:43? As a politician, one SHOULD be held to a higher standard - which (wait for it . . .) includes obeying the laws of the State of Missouri to begin with. Too bad people like you think that it's just ok to ignore the law, especially when one is in politics. This fool of a man should resign and quit pretending to represent the people.

  7. I wonder what the audio of the arrest sounds like? Aren't police officers all wired for audio now? And isn't that a public record?

I would like to know if he tried to use his influence to get out of his arrest.

  8. Orphan of the Road8/26/13, 5:08 PM

Not appearing in court, not having current registration & insurance are why he should resign.

Don't they take an oath to defend the Constitution(s) or do they just cuss the other party when sworn in?

To make it a drug bust story is to trivialize the other laws he felt above because of his job.

Probably ditch weed from along the Missouri Southern tracks, dufus.

  9. Koster is a joke!

As long as there are Missouri politics there will be scandals. If this clown's name was Berry or Kennedy he could just cry on cam and check into a rehab center and he'd be a hero. Unfortunately this guy is expected to have his head out of his ass so he wont get anything but the boot.

  10. When the cop came to the car and asked Rep. LaFaver is he had druges, what did LaFaver say? Did he lie? Or did he tell the truth?

And where was the marijuana pipe? In plain view? Who leaves a pipe in plain view? Two answers: (1) Someone who is stoned. (2) A politician who thinks he cannot be touched. Which one is LaFaver, or is he both?

  11. Someone should FOIA the state highway patrol's records on this arrest. Who tipped them off?

I am not thinking Republicans per se, but I am thinking Senator Holsman, which is almost the same thing.

In the weeks after the primary last year, the Senator threatened to bring a rain of shit down on people who supported Crystal, and Jeremy in particular. Holsman made a lot of threats to a lot of people.

That is not to say that the state rep did nothing wrong. Jeremy handed someone the hatchet that he now finds in the back of his head.

  12. 5:32 - that's what happens to the people who support the loser - a rain of shit comes down on them so they will be intimidated not to do that again. It's just politics - if you can't handle the heat, stay out of the fucking kitchen. And Lafaver has shown that he cannot handle the heat.

  13. 4:45: ALL Missouri state politicians should submit to drug tests. That may shed some light on some of their votes.

I'm with Orphan. He should resign for not having car insurance and a current license plate (which we little people have to buy insurance to get).

    ReplyDelete
  14. Williams should be arrested AND convicted of criminal ugliness!! What a fucking beast!

    ReplyDelete
  15. I guess only the voters have to follow the rules. Time to drug test all of the clowns in jeff city. Bus drivers, teachers, paramedics, police, factory workers, construction workers get drug tests. But the people who have a real potential to mess shit up, e.g. politicans don't. Obviously, there's a need to drug test the whole lot.

  16. Say it ain't so Jeremy.

  17. ..GLAZER FOR MAYOR ..

  18. They ought to search his house and test his wife's pee.

    ReplyDelete
  19. Unless he resigns or is recalled by his constituents it will prove once again that politicians are above the law and the citizens let it happen.

He's a joke, he should, for the good of his party resign, but more so, he should resign for the people he represents.

Many people in trusted positions lose their jobs and politicians keep theirs....it should stop....now

  20. Rizzo and Lafaver are pot-smokin' buddies8/26/13, 7:48 PM

Jeremy LaFaver and John Rizzo are peas in a pod. Watch what happens Dow the road as the two are linked in criminal activity.
