ReplyDeleteI do agree that fast food workers dont get paid shit, and that is why someone can work at one and get food stamps,(minimum wage is a bunch of capitalistic crap, its great for kids that still live at home, but unrealistic for anyone else) so pay them more because to the consumer the cost will be the same in the long run when they (the fast food worker) have no benefits and 5 kids out of wedlock from 3 different people and cant pay their medical bills, or feed their families the cost ends up on the taxpayers lap anyway. you may be able to get a greasy shit burger off the dollar menu, but really its costing you 10 bucks for that burger in the long run. Wake up America!!

When they applied for the job they accepted the no benefits and minimum wage...could it be they dont have motivation to go to college and EARN a better living? Could it be they screwed up a chance to get a better paying job because they were irresponsible and have bad credit or a criminal record? I have a friend who is in fast food who started out making shit like these whiners, but she applied herself wouldnt settle for anything less than busting her ass to move up in the ranks and is now (after hard work and dedication a regional manager and is making 6 figures. so too all the lazy ass fast food people I will tell you that you have options...1 quit bitching and earn your place in life, or you can join the Kansas City Fire Department, many of them used to flip burgers and now live the entitlement life style, which is what you already have yet want a higher form of...so hey if you can flip a burger, screw your co workers spouse, drag a hose up 3 flights of stairs, and do what your told no matter how wrong or immoral...you may just want to check out the KCFD, or actually any city job they are all about the same... If you want something bad enough and are willing to bend over and grab your knees you have options so quit whining.

ReplyDeleteThe fact of matter, as many of you seem to forget, is that a college degree doesn't mean shit nowadays. Everybody and their brother went to college and now the value of the degree has become severely diluted. So yeah, you may very well see a dude with his Master's flipping burgers or being a barista, because he will take anything to pay off his exorbitant student loans. Granted, he may have foolishly got a liberal arts degree (how dare he pursue a passion of his!) and now regrets it, but not everyone can be an engineer/nurse/IT guy--or else you will flood the market with so many applicants that will inadverently resort to the very jobs that most of you say, "Go back to college if you don't like working for minimum wage!"

Theory just gives you enough background noise to sound halfway intelligent. Then, there are some who graduate from college and there is wonderment as to how that occurred.
