Swope Soccer Debacle
Thought you might be interested in the Swope Soccer Village debacle.
First Cindy Circo successfully diverted the funding that was intended for infrastructural improvements to the Swope Ridge Neighborhood in the Winchester TIF. By not putting in the sewer lines and leaving us on septic tanks, the runoff from the latest storm on May 31st appears to have collected in the southern most proposed soccer field and actually it became a lake . . .
The city council at Circo's insistance passed an ordinance to get bond proceeds based on the future tax collections for the Winchester TIF to give the Soccer group the money up front to do the fields. The agreement is for $13,440,000.00. This money should have went into the general fund to maintain the city infrastructure. This is all being done as an "emergency". When did soccer fields ever become an emergency or a priority over health and welfare of tax paying, voting residents?

Aren't you opposed to the KCSD selling a piece of unused property on Wornall for a profit, because THAT won't be turned into non-revenue producing soccer fields that would also be expensive for the taxpayers of KC to build and maintain for one specific neighborhood?
