GOV. JAY IS PUTTING $400 MILLION WORTH OF SPENDING ON HOLD AMID GOP TAX BILL PUSH BACK!!!
Here's the damage . . .
"Gov. Jay Nixon froze $400 million of spending Friday for education, building repairs and state services because of concerns that legislators could override his veto of an income tax bill that he contends would drain state revenues."
In other words . . .
GOV. JAY HAS ENGAGED IN AN EPIC GAME OF ECONOMIC CHICKEN WITH THE MISSOURI GOP AND THE FINANCIAL PROGRESS OF THIS STATE HANGS IN THE BALANCE!!!
A Missouri insider says: "The Republicans have a choice, they can back off OR they can risk destroying the economic progress that Missouri has struggled to make."
We're looking forward to their response and maybe a glimpse at the strength of the so-called "No Veto" Majority.
