Kansas City P&L District has been a shameful exercise in poor planning and racial divisiveness.
Once again they've crossed the line . . .
P&L DISTRICT "CINCO DE DRINKO" IS A SHAMEFUL EXERCISE IN IN LATINO CULTURE STEREOTYPING THAT REINVIGORATES THE DEVASTATING TKC BOYCOTT AND INSPIRES ME TO TAKE MY SOMBRERO SOMEWHERE MORE AUTHENTIC!!!
Seriously though . . . Cinco De Mayo is more than a booze fest - It's a celebration of Chicano culture that has been co-opted by corporations like the P&L District parent company and perverted simply to turn a profit.
Instead, Kansas City residents might want to visit any other neighborhood events for a much more authentic celebration, with better food, music and people rather than support this corporate exercise in stereotypes and generic entertainment.
As always, the Guadalupe Center Cinco De Mayo Celebration is a good place to start looking for better Latino weekend activities . . .
In reality, ANYTHING would be better than throwing good money after bad in the direction of district that has done nothing but drain this town to the tune of $12 Mil a year.
