This morning we note another sign that Kansas City Plaza violent teen flash mobs have become a touchstone for local politics and cultural debate . . .
ALL OVER THE KANSAS CITY INTERNETS WORD IS OUT THAT FORMER MEMBERS OF THE OCCUPY KC MOVEMENT NOW PLAN TO VIDEOTAPE POLICE INTERACTION WITH VIOLENT FLASH MOBS ON THE PLAZA IN THE NAME OF SOCIAL JUSTICE!!!
In fairness, I can only wonder if these digital activists are going to ask about the whereabouts of parents and guardians for members of the violent flash mobs?!?!
Right now this "movement" is called Plaza Patrol on FB.
Mission Statement Of The Group:
"An independent coalition of concerned citizens helping to keep The Plaza safe for patrons of ALL AGES. Picking up where institutions have failed, we strive to make sure no child is treated unjustly while enjoying The Plaza entertainment district in our city."
Also, this weekend we've already read a few "interactions" betwixt flash mobs and these activists . . .
This digital fight against alleged institutional racism is important because we all know that it's just a matter of time until talk of discrimination is put on blast by mainstream media.
Given that our KICK-ASS BLOG COMMUNITY broke this story . . . It's important to note that what we've witnessed is that KCPD has gone out of their way to protect the safety of flash mob members given that the groups are often comprised of children as young as 7.
Nevertheless, talk of socialist uprising, "progressive" politics and other rallying cries of the Occupy Movement have now entered into the Plaza Flash mob debate and so far this mostly white constituency has been the first to bring the sordid top of racism into this discussion.

As for the issue at hand, FINE THE PARENTS!! If you want to have children and not raise them, but instead allow them to rampage one the finest commercial district in the city by assaulting patrons, blocking traffic, destroying property, etc... then you should be held responsible. The children should be arrested (to be given a safer and more stable environment, or at least save the civilized portion of man kind from suffering their existence and antics) and the parents should be fined, if not arrested as well.
To sum it up justly, KEEP YOUR KIDS OUT THE STREET!!!

ReplyDeleteI believe in a three point plan. 1) Keep the older kids away from the little kids. Don't need creepy oldsters hanging out with 13, 14, and 15 year olds. No good can come of older people hanging with minors. Its called contributing to the deliquency of a minor. Look, there is something not right about the amount of child/kid adult interaction going on down there. Maybe there isn't a sinister motive, but it seems icky. Maybe they are going to copyright their invasions and the adults can sell them on the computer? Thats the only reason I can think why adults would want anything to do with minors.
2) They have some of the best security cameras in the city down there. I know that some of them are like the kind they use at home depot loss prevention. These cameras are detailed and sharp. They should have no trouble seeing a tag number of a parent dropping a child off unsupervised. They should be charged with parental neglect. I don't understand why any of these plaza business don't volunteer their security footage. There doesn't seem to be any retail or merchant response to these events. They got cameras, they just need to be using them. The only thing I can think is maybe the merchants are all numb from the JJ's accidental death and don't like the area that much more anyway.
3) They should provide physical change. I suggest broadcasted in classical music, bright lights, and encouraging people to hang out at the tennis courts instead of in front of merchants. The plaza would be safer with brighter lights anyway.
Look, idle time is the devil's handy work. I can only imagine what the older people are doing with the little kids. Its not cool that 18 year old men are running around with flocks of 14 year olds. I don't want to think about the things that are going on in these groups. Somebody needs to stop the pervs from playing with the kids. It makes me sick to think that bad stuff is happening to these youth. And no, don't make cracks about how running with older adults makes them more prepared for a life in prison, because thats not cool, either, and kinda gross.

ReplyDeleteOn spring break in Panama City Fl years ago they had Beach Court for the numerous alcohol and loitering related charges. You're quickly put in front of a judge and plead guilty. Consequence is to pick up trash for 8 hours the next day or get fined and onto jail. Something similar set up in the park could process these turds and get the word out.
