KANSAS CITY ACTIVIST MD ALAM BLASTS STEREOTYPING OF INNOCENT MUSLIMS IN THIS EXCLUSIVE TKC SOCIAL MEDIA INTERVIEW!!!
It's important to provide context here . . . MD Alam has received national press for his controversial opinions on 9/11. Then again, Mr. Alam has continued his local activism and organizing while pushing really important legislation like "The Tony Sigh Bill" that would mandate additional protection for convenience store clerks in honor of a South Kansas City man who was gunned down.
Recently, TKC reached out to MD Alam because fighting discrimination against Muslims is a part of his agenda that includes a "Million Muslim March" on Washington D.C. for the upcoming anniversary of 9/11.
Also, reactionary violence against Muslims has been an under-reported aspect of the Boston Marathon Bombing:

At the outset of the message exchange MD Alam seemed hopeful that we wouldn't see these same kinds of incidents in Kansas City:
"I do not have fear of retaliation against Muslims in Kansas City yet my biggest fear is media stereotyping and its propaganda," MD Alam noted.

In light of the recent developments in the Boston Bombing case we at AMPAC would like to remind everyone that everyone is innocent till proven guilty. Everyone has the right to an attorney and to face their accusers and provide evidence to the contrary. We all have a right to a jury of our peers and to appeal a guilty verdict.
We at AMPAC know this is an open wound for Americans not just because it’s only been 4 days since the 3 lives lost and over 170 injured. Also because we as Americans are not use to such attacks. Despite the medias attempt to draw a correlation between the suspects and the religion of Islam concerning an act of terrorism by continually mentioning when talking about the suspects they always mention their country of origin being “Predominantly Muslim.”
AMPAC wants you to remember that a criminal act done by any individuals is an act of their own volition and do not represent the race, ethnic, or religion they profess to practice. Let us all pray for the victims and their families and hope the authorities follow the law of the land in regards to Due Process and punish the individuals responsible for this heinous crime.
