Running Question: Is Kansas City Really A Target? Local Organizers Remain Vigilant!!!

Kansas City runners remain dedicated to keeping upcoming local events safe.

A couple of examples:

Pitch: Kansas City Sports Commission President Kathy Nelson says it will learn from Boston Marathon attacks for the upcoming KC Marathon

KMBC: No bags, backpacks allowed at KC's Trolley Run

Let's not forget that KCPD Chief Forté told us yesterday that there were not credible threats in the Kansas City area.

That statement made this bit of austerity seem not so bad . . .

Federal government cuts Kansas City's Homeland Security funding

And maybe terrorism fear should be just one aspect of a comprehensive security checklist for a town beset upon by violent teen flash mobs, drive-bys and all kinds of petty criminals.

  2. The only thing we are a target of is niggers. No nigger is gonna waste a good pressure cooker making a bomb. Anyone that uses a pressure cooker to make a bomb doesn't appreciate chicken done the right way.

Hey everybody, we've got this thing handled!
This would be like Des Moines announcing they're going to crack down on large groups of Spring Breakers.
