Kansas City gentrification is always a fun topic because it brings out the worst in people.
Middle-class
Nowhere is this apparent than on the topic of doggie poop in areas where the middle-class attempt to "reclaim" a Kansas City neighborhood.
To wit . . .

At first this warning seemed rather ominous but on second glance some TOP ECHELON TKC READERS reminded us that authorities and almost everybody else on the planet have more important things to do than look at video footage of dog poop.
Still, while there are important things going on in this city like crime prevention efforts on The Plaza, the toy train streetcar boondoggle and KCI construction giveaway . . . The Kansas City petite bourgeoisie are up in arms over dog poop.

I too am pooped talking about poo or doo-doo.
Complaints of miscreant owners not picking up after their dogs. Some complaints are regarding dogs not on leashes.
To The Poop Miscreants: please pick up after your dogs - regardless of where they are pooping - alleys, yards, sidewalks etc. ...you're making your neighbors hostile and crazy. They are about to be unleashed on you.
To The Tired Poop Picker-Upers or Poop Victims: If you identify the poop scroundrels - 4 & 2 legged - let us know at the WCAN Center and we will send them a letter.
You can always try to capture the neighborhood befoulers with your cell phone camera or other photographic equipments. The photo needs to be time-date stamped. You can then file a complaint with Animal Control. The dog's people will be sent a warning or could be issued a ticket.
Put plastic newspaper sleeves near the leash or the door you use, put them in your pocket - they make great poop bags.
If the aversion to picking up your dog's poop is a manifestation of your latent potty-training issues....get help and scoop the poop.

Just offer the beaners fifty-cents a pound for all the poo they can bring to the center. The center can re-sell the poo to Mexican restaurants in the area for seventy five-cents a pound. It's a Juan Juan situation.

ReplyDeleteI agree. I don't eat in restaurants where the kitchen staff is white. Black people and Latinos are much more careful about cleanliness in kitchens.
