TODAY: MISSOURI SUPREME COURT DEBATES AN EXODUS FROM FAILING SCHOOL DISTRICTS LIKE THE KCPS!!!

Post-Dispatch and a discussion that could spell the end of the KCPS: "A far-reaching school transfer law that has been mired in court for six years will get a hearing at the Missouri Supreme Court today. The law says that children in unaccredited school districts have the right to transfer to better, neighboring districts, at the expense of their home districts."

Why would anyone want to transfer out of KCPS when a whopping 17% of students are reading at grade-level?

I believe the district said that less than 20 families expressed an interest in leaving KCPS. There wont be any mass (or even minor) exodus from KCPS.
