"$50.00 Donation at the door-Perseus Kissing Booth, Live Entertainment Featuring Dirty Dorothy's Variety Show, Live DJ and Band. Silent Auction, Hors D'oeuvres and drinks. All proceed benefit Plaza Physician's Group, House of Elan and the employees dramatically affected by the Explosion at JJ'S Restaurant 10% of proceeds will go to the Great Plains SPCA. From such devastation and tragedy, Perseus gave us hope and perseverance to move forward."

ReplyDeleteA Direct link to Animal Cruelty and the african american community has been made by PETA. Dog fighting, Starvation of dogs brutal Beatings of dogs, torture of dogs, total neglect. Many reports of cats being abused as well. Should African Americans be scrutinized more carefully then other adoptees due to the great numbers of cases every year? One need only look at this video to see why the question should be raised.

The servers have lawsuit money coming.
They can currently collect unemployment at about 1000 a month.
They could bank on being a JJs server and get a job at the nicest restaurants in KC.
These aren't waffle house ladies, these are people who made 200+ a night serving KC elites in a fine dining atmosphere.
Speaking as someone who waited tables at nice places back in the day they are milking this a bit.
Correct me if I'm wrong, there has been 2 benefits so far? One by the KC restaurant assn and one at the uptown?

this time the money goes partially to Doctors who provided care to people that should have been pro-bono or billed in anticipation of settlement of legal claim.
Well it sounds like those doctors did provide some service without expecting immediate payment.
ReplyDeleteAnd of course, we are talking about some people who had a job without health insurance, then didn't even buy a minimal policy for themselves (and they don't cost that much) while they banked $200 in tips a night.
I doubt after tip down they was clearing 200 a night.
