TKC BREAKING NEWS!!! KANSAS CITY ANTI-NUKE QUESTION 3 CAMPAIGN LAUNCHES INTERNETS VIDEO TODAY!!!

Recently, we've been talking about the questions facing Kansas City on the April 2nd Ballot.
And so . . .
TODAY ANTI-NUKE ADVOCATES LAUNCHED THEIR FIRST VIDEO FOR THE QUESTION 3 CAMPAIGN THAT COULD STOP KANSAS CITY FROM FUNDING NUKE FACILITIES!!!
First . . . Here's a look at the most relevant part of the ballot language . . .
Question 3
"Shall the city be barred from funding, financing or subsidizing facilities involved in the production, assembling or refurbishing of nuclear weapons or their component parts?"
Now . . . Check the video . . .
Kansas City - Vote YES on Question 3 - April 2, 2013
The video makes a few good points but the most relevant one seems to question the logic of tethering the local economy to nuke production. In all practicality, it may not be a great idea not out of concern for peace, love and understanding but because local elected officials really don't have any influence or credible insight into the process.
KC "Peace Planters" seem to be taking credit for this one . . .
And it'll be interesting to see if the pro-nuke groups (who have some pretty decent funding) put as much effort into their response . . .
DEVELOPING . . .

You forgot to mention the topic of jobs TKC.
This plant is really about good paying jobs and preventing those in this economy will not stand a chance.
Question 3 support will be lucky if they get past 10% of the vote.
This kind of insane strategy would leave the U.S. defenseless. It's important to tell these people no in very clear terms.
These assholes will change their minds, about thirty seconds after North Korea decides to blow up one of our west coast cities. Let's hope it won't be too late then.
Maybe KC can give a tax break for a U.S. Citizen-Killing Drone manufacturing facility as well.
the video puts me to sleep.
Remeber Tony - you can not call yourself a Catholic and vote pro-life or vote for nukes. Now more than ever, people must decide what they really believe.
I believe it is insane to suggest that the United States should unilaterally dispose of its nuclear weapons. That's what I really believe.
Kim Jong-Un urges you to vote YES. He really believes the U.S. should get rid of its nukes
Give them to Iran.
snooze.
I don't understand why they want to disable a plant that doesn't make anything nuclear & actually helps the US decrease the amount of nuclear weapons in our stockpile by making current weapons more safe and secure. Isn't that what they want anyway? Kinda seems they don't know what they believe.
yeah, they're a little mixed up on several levels
If you do not vote in favor of the nukes we will not build the two-million-person central U.S. concentration/liquidation camp in the KC area.
Think of all the jobs you sheep will miss out on.
Bring on the nukes.
Peace Planters - off with their heads.
Seriously? This is the kinda shit that goes to the top of the list around here?
Don't worry warmongers, the bombs aren't going anywhere, we got plenty.
To the South Park residents worried "they took our jobs!" This plant employs LESS workers than the previous plant in an industry with zero potential for growth.
If you want JOBS!! around here, why not invest in an industry that will actually grow.
Do all you MORONS like sleepin' in your cozy warm beds at night ? WTF ?
This kind of exercise gives democracy a bad name.
Actually Tony, the most "relevant" language in the question is the word FUTURE, which you've conveniently left out. This question doesn't do anything to the current shady deal, just hopes to prevent future shady deals.
The City of Kansas City, Missouri ("the City") shall not enter into, facilitate, nor give permission for any FUTURE contracts whereby it will be directly financially involved in any facilities that produce or procure components for, assemble, or refurbish nuclear weapons (except for outside infrastructure improvements customarily provided by cities and governmental services ordinarily provided to citizens). The City is also barred in the FUTURE from funding or subsidizing such a facility through taxes, bonds, loans, tax credits, credit, or any other financial scheme or mechanism. The definition of such a facility does not include providers of goods and services which were not produced for the purpose of nuclear weapons components production but which may be purchased by such a facility as a consumer.
This ballot measure is pointless. It isn't like they are going to build another shady billion dollar nuclear trigger factory right next to an international rail center. It doesn't change the bonds already floated- you people are already responsible for repaying those.
You floated bonds for a company, Honeywell, that locked out its own employees because they wanted to try to break their union.
Keep the nukes and get rid of the Plaza gas lines.
