Organizers of the beleaguered Mayweather event argued that they would be exonerated weeks ago . . . That off-record statement was around the same time they had to RESCHEDULE THEIR EVENT ONCE AGAIN . . . This time to early April.
Meanwhile . . . It has been argued by more than a few folks that Floyd Mayweather Sr. isn't an appropriate speaker for children and students attending the replacement event.
Still . . . The City Manager has requested a return of the money and it's now a police matter.

TKC RECENTLY ASKED THE KCPD ABOUT THE STATUS OF THE INVESTIGATION AND THE RESPONSE WAS INFORMATIVE AND ENCOURAGING!!!

"The case is still actively being investigated," according to the KCPD who have taken on the case at the City's request on Jan. 23rd and under the supervision of fraud detectives.
So, while there is a concentrated effort to move past this shocking instance of financial mismanagement at City Hall . . . Thankfully, there is also an ongoing effort underway to keep pressing forward with this search that might not only get Kansas City's money back but also lead to greater accountability @ 12th & Oak.
