At this point, stock price boosts aren't trickling down to help anybody but the 1% and biz poaching or tax cutting GOP strategy in Kansas doesn't seem to be paying off in anything but empty political rhetoric.

ReplyDeleteThe govt should save defense dept money by closing Fort Riley. And boarding up Boeing and McConnell AFB. And stop buying private aircraft for gumment use. And cut back on agricultural disaster relief for droughts and tornadoes. And up here in the KC area, furlough a bunch of federal workers at USDA, EPA and other agencies. We do indeed need to get off the government tit.
Kansas residents who elect Republicans to Congress won't mind at all. We need to save money, right?

ReplyDeleteI wish we could just pick the shithole Kansas up and move it further west, then my drive to the mountains to ski would only be 3-4 hours. Imagine crossing state line and being in Colorado, that would be great!
ReplyDelete@5:32 Kansas does have a lower unemployment rate at 5.5%. Kansas will add approximately 24,000 jobs by the end of the year mostly at Temp services, healthcare and restrauants. Not the big paying jobs Kansans need!
